Los Angeles can't afford Linus Ullmark. We need the cap space either to re-sign Matt Roy or else to get a winger to skate with Pierre-Luc DuBois.

If EOL gets 3x5m, it had better not be from the Bruins.

I'm also not sure how I feel about bringing in Teravainen and letting DeBrusk walk. I don't hate it, but I don't think it buys you very much. I think they are similar in terms of usage and deployment options, although Teravainen probably gets more overall points but fewer goals. This team should probably lean more towards goal scoring if they can, because that is currently their biggest issue. If nothing else, I think you might as well just keep DeBrusk for the locker room vibes.

"Letting Debrusk walk?" Not the Bruins choice is it. But agree with you, DeBrusk is probably a better fit.

Kinda funny how so many think the Kings need a goalie. Resigning the very competent Talbot, cheaper than Ullmark and not giving up any assets benefits the Kings a lot more.

Fair enough. If it is between DeBrusk at 5.5m AAV or Teravainen at 5.5m AAV, I'd take DeBrusk. If DeBrusk wants 6m+, then welcome to Boston Turbo!

Kings can't afford Ullmark and Ullmark reportedly doesn't want LA (or the West coast), so I don't see that happen. They should get a solid goalie like Nedeljkovic, who is an UFA after the season, re-sign Rittich and so they could spend less on their goalie duo, compared to what Ullmark gets one more year. Surely, he will also ask for a significant rise after next year, which he will get (somewhere else though)

If Ullmark is traded to the Kings, you are looking at PLD going back to Boston and Ullmark signing an extension to convince him to go to a place that is on his no trade clause.

The question is what would be coming to Boston to compensate for the PLD contract overpay. Some say nothing will compensate for it, but there probably is something there between some combination of picks or prospects.

Probably too many questions to see it come to fruition, but I do believe it is something to keep an eye one.

It’s probably easier to sign Lindholm and trade Ullmark for a pick combination like this, but likely to a different team. I do think there is some wishful thinking on the Lindholm contract here, One year doesn’t change the fact that he was the #1 center on the board at the beginning of the year and has a good track record
