I just don’t think this fits what the Sens would try to build if they move Tkachuk

Can’t see the Canucks giving up that much for Brady. If they give up that package they should be able to get a superstar player

Canes would also have to add in a Mikheyev-KK swap

Brady Tkachuk isn't leaving Ottawa for another Canadian team. And yes even a player with no NMC/NTC can still block a trade;

And I doubt that Filip Hronek leaves a potential contender for a cellar dweller either.

No, they couldn't. 23 year old middle six C or a 29 year old middle six C... Vancouver are adding signifiicantly

No superstar player is available or ever will be . And Brady is under contract , a star player , still young and getting better . You wouldn’t be trading Hronek if he was that good or didn’t want to get paid more than he’s worth

2 years of an overpaid middle 6 winger > 6 years of an overpaid bottom 6 center. Carolina is definitely adding

Superstar players do become available occasionally (M Tkachuk for example). Brady is a great player, but I wouldn’t trade a top pair RHD + an elite prospect + a 1st round pick for him

Yeah but tbh I don’t consider Hronek a true top pairing Dman.

I also have reservations about Lekkerimaki ever since the 2022 draft

What has Lekkerimaki possibly done to deserve reservations? His D+1 was awful with injury and sickness but he was incredible last year

He has a good shot. But to me he’s a perimeter player under 6 foot . He’s a great shooter but he’s not an all around talent and there was always question about his defensive effort

KK's a middle six center, and he's 23. Vancouver are adding, and it's significant

He is not a 2nd line center. He’s played at a 40+ point pace once in his career, and his defensive metrics got worse this season. He’s a 3rd or 4th line center with an awful contract for 6 more years. Carolina is adding, and it’s significant

He's a middle six center, and he's the 2nd line center right now on one of the cup favorites. He's had a down year, but he's still only 23 and normally incredible in all three zones. While his defensive metrics have regressed, his offensive ones have jumped leaps and bounds forwards. He's the better player, and he's worth his contract. Vancouver is adding significantly. End of conversation.

That’s a straight up lie as he’s been their 2C in just 1 of the last 10 games (probably even more but that’s as far as I looked back). Kuznetsov has been the 2C. KK has been healthy scratched more than he’s been on the 2nd line recently. In the last 30 games that he’s played in he’s played over 12 minutes only 6 times. He’s getting mostly 4th line minutes.

He’s such a good 2C that Carolina felt the need to go out and get a washed Kuznetsov at the deadline to play 2C over him lmao. Carolina is adding significantly to dump that awful contract. End of discussion

That would make it 2 of the last 20+ games (I checked back further) he’s played as the 2C. Carolina would have to add significantly to dump a 5Mx6 bottom 6 player on the Canucks, especially seeing as there’s no path to him becoming a top 6C on the Canucks. End of discussion

Cool, he doesn't make 5, he makes 4.8. He's a great middle six C on any team, and he's still only 23! Vancouver adds SIGNIFICANTLY. End of discussion
