Strangely, I'd have a hard time in MTL if we parted with 2 first (the 5 OVR and 27 OVR) for TT - I'll wait for another 94 pts season before calling him a superstar... especially when the habs could potentially put their hand on one of Lindstrom/Demidov/Iginla/Catton/ Levshunov and even Celebrini if they win the lottery.

He wants to sell his Rochester NLL team because he owns the one in Buffalo. Everything else he is still going to own.

well he went 68pts, 94 pts, 56 pts... I don't know the context this season (injury or what not) - but TT is LOVED in BUF, like we love Slaf - so the price to acquire him will be too high from the bat - and for that price I don't want to take the risk that he is a good 70 pts player vs. a 90 pts player.

Especially when Lindstrom/Demidov/Iginla/Catton/ Levshunov are likely to be JUST as good.

So let me get this straight: Lindstrom gets so injured in his draft year he has to miss half the season and you want to draft him. TT has a back injury that he plays through, and you are gonna lower your expectations on his value.

Isn't that a double-standard?

A giant gets a traumatic injury in junior affecting his stats. All good.

An NHL center playing against the Best 25% of players in the best league in the world gets a traumatic injury and plays through it albeit earning lower stats. He's over-rated!

Well I did not know about his back injury - and I think TT is really good - but the price to get him (more expensive than your package) might not be worth it.

Yes. Feel free to clap back if Terry sells the Sabres and/or Tage Thompson is traded for Owen f'n Beck and a pair of 1sts.

As your team exists today, I too wouldn't be interested in that offer. I think it's fair in a vacuum, but your team is too young to do that deal. The Sabres are too.. um.. experienced. To do that deal as well. It's a loss for both sides. I also don't think the compensation is enough for a long term, stable 1C who has shown the ability to peak 40 goals. Sabres had a bad coaching problem this year.

He had several significant and extended injuries this season, on top of Matt Ellis running the powerplay (into the earth's core) and a coach that allowed a casual atmosphere. You'll take a look at the shooting and possession analytics and realize the talent in Buffalo greatly exceeds what they put to the net.

The news about him selling a portion of the Bills just recently could lead to more sale, up to and including the Sabres (the trade I’d obviously dog**** and wouldn’t happen)
