The fit isn't there really for Detroit. We can't afford his cap hit plus we aren't ready to be spending high end assets for veteran players, no matter how good they are. We need ASP more than we need Connor for the future. Detroit just isn't a buyer and likely won't be for a few more years.

9th in offense.
9th worst in defense.

Trading a 200ft center drafted 9th overall, a defenseman who seems like a steal at 17th overall, and 1st for a prolific offensive player is not the move.
