I think one problem is they are also looking for an RD even with Hronek on board, not Lindell. But I'm curious to see what the Van fans will say.

Rather keep Hronek. Value aside he just fits on the roster better

I gotta agree, he fits well with Hughes and Canucks system. The value is generous I think, but not really fitting the right needs for the Canucks. RD is their biggest weakness depth-wise.

I think the missing critical point is if Hronek was willing to sign for that, why would Vancouver trade him?

From what has been reported he wants more from Van and tax friendly Texas.

Hughes could make a pylon rich. Willing to chase some UFAs on the right, such as Walker, Carrier or Tanev, and bring back Myers. All short 1-2 yr window (including Lindell for the purposes of this ACGM) vs term for Z and give DPetey and Willander another year to develop.

Hey man, he heard everyone talking about oh Hughes is great but he can't defend, and went home and went to work. Good for him.

On a related note, Vancouver is the only West team I'm allowing to win the Cup. So don't screw up getting to the final! I don't want any risk of the other seven winning.
