Robertson isn't getting moved, but this is a great package to go after an available star. I think you could go after someone like Buchnevich for less than this so you get a star (Ik he is old for your liking) but you get someone. Or just develop and wait another few seasons

If they develop and wait for a few more seasons, half the guys they have now won't have any value. That's my worry now. Just not enough roles available. They could always add more prospects to something like this. I think they should be willing to trade anybody not named Werenski or Fantilli

Dallas says no and Columbus would rather target a younger center like beniers (just example) with a massive overpay type trade like this.

I could see this package being of intrest to the blues, but i think theyd want a dman back over johnson or Marchenko

CBJ has a ton of defensive prospects so I'm sure they could get it to work

If we wait a couple years, Fantilli, Brindley, Sillinger, Johnson, Mateychuk, and Jiricek won't have even hit their prime, they'll be 23 or younger. Texier, Marchenko, Voronkov, Chinakhov will be 26 or younger, just finally hitting their prime. Werenski and Laine will be 28.

I think people forget just how young this team is, 2nd youngest in the league. There really isn't an option other than wait for the next core to develop. Building around Jenner, Gaudreau, etc. isn't it. We tried that this year, and it's clear there isn't enough supporting cast to push for the playoffs yet. It's 100% fine to let the young core develop another couple of years and let Gaudreau, Jenner, and any other vets that stick around take lesser roles on a more competitive team.

IMO players hitting their ceilings are as it follows.
Locks are marchy and Fantilli, likely hits are sillinger, voronkov and maybes (50/50s) are Johnson chinakhov and Johnson. This is also to reach full potential not to miss the league like a nail yakupov.

Both. Jason Robertson is untouchable likely, and the Stars are contenders who don't need to replace their star with young gus. Meanwhile the Jackets are still fixing things and need the futures to make sure they have a solid future foundation.

Would agree with Thomas. Don’t know what d prospect you would ask for. Jiricek can’t happen. Unless it’s only him and small adds. (Like a second or cuelemans) Didn’t think he would be available hence that sentence. We need a top right shot defender more than anny other position (assuming Fantilli doesn’t bust out lol) and he is him as far as our process is concerned.
