Why would the leafs want konecny? Total regular season player, 1 goal and 8 points in the playoffs? Smh, embarrassing. Cant handle the spotlight

I dont know if you get that value back really. For example, expiring Liljegren isn;t getting 2 2nds back. As a 6th/7th year pro he hasn;t established himself in Toronto's top 4 (a team that annually has to acquire 2 or more defensemen at the TDL) or Kampf who is a bit overpaid for a 4C....etc....

But ultimately, whats the point if your defense has one guy capable of 30 pts or those 2 are your goalies? (Not to mention HIGHLY dependent on Cowan, Hildeby, Webber to be ready, because the rest of the team is just a yr older).

And I like Benoit, but you cant have a 2nd pairing guy who put up 5 pts in 66 games on the second highest scoring team in the league, (or pair him on 2nd pair with another guy who contributes very little on offense)

I don't want to hear about any leaf's players being cheap and showing up for playoffs that just doesn't exist.

Edmonton declines. They can get a better player in free agency for less without giving up a 3rd.

Is that what Stuart Skinner's been told these last couple of years?

I don’t see why flyers wouldn’t accept but don’t really understand the point of it other than to save cap for the Leafs

It was his first playoffs last year and was his first full season last year? So I may be misunderstanding your point or you just don't fully know what you're talking about. Also, if he is a playoff performer isn't it in the best interest of the Leaf's to keep him so they are able to make it out the first round again? Thanks.

The Penguins decline. They need draft picks, not bad players with bad contracts.

It is... I've said that the Leafs should keep Kampf, pleas highlight the part where I've said the opposite...

And .880s goaltending won't go any farther than the Leafs... So don't throw bricks in a glass house...

Buddy thinks playing the Kings in three playoffs straight and then losing to a contender has room to talk. Oilers wouldn't survive 4 games against the Bruins

Um... they only lost to the Stanley Cup Champions last season (and the one before). And Vegas players openly talked about Edmonton being their toughest opponent.

So you prove my point. Can't beat the contenders but can sure beat the Kings. As for the Vegas players talking openly about Edmonton being a tough opponent, sounds like another "respected in the handshake line" quote

The timelines don't match. The comments came AFTER they won the Cup, not after round 2.
