I'm very happy for his success and he's a great young player. I think back when the trade occurred I told you and some other sharks fans that you would be very pleased with Zetterlund.

There however is not a space on NJD to get him 15.5 minutes a night even strength+PP1 time, and I'm not sure he's a great fit into a defensive bottom 6 role.

You 100% did and I was pissed we didn’t get Holtz. In retrospect he better fits our top 9 skill and style wise.
We also love Mukh as he is developing very nicely and then to add Musty who was a gift and has developed beyond my expectations so far, plus another pick this year that deal really worked out well for the sharks. And I have to believe the 2nd half of this season Meier is looking more like himself and will be valuable for you guys.

I was worried about Meier for a bit to start the year, especially with some ugly results battling the MCL injuries (that obviously I didn't know the extent of at the time, but I have been incredibly happy with what Meier has provided when healthy. Just need him to stay that way going forward.

Shakir was always a very underrated prospect. How is he looking, since I haven't gotten to watch a lot of him lately?

He looks like a legit 2nd pairing #3 D. He is solid 2 way guy but I don’t see him being a good top pair. Still he’s a super valuable guy.

I don't think ANOTHER inexperienced 20 year old would have been the solution in NJD, but if we could have like a 26 year old version of Shakir that would be exactly what NJD needed on the left side

No I agree he was an ideal piece for you guys to move, I really feel this was one of those perfect deals where both clubs get exactly what they need.

I loved everything about what Shakir brought, but unfortunately it's near impossible to try and develop 3 young dmen at once wile trying to compete. Win win trade in my eyes.

Any thoughts on Okhotiuk? In my eyes he was always a number 7 type dman with some grit. Would have been nice to keep around but probably lost to waivers if we didn't move him. Hatakka played way better than I expected him to in all honesty when he was called upon

Hatakka and Okhotiyuk are exactly the same type of player, sharks dealt Okhotiyuk already lol.
They are ideal 7th D that can step in and play, but neither is layer are any more than that.

Crazy to me that Sharks fans were pissed at the return we got at the time, meanwhile all season they were begging for only a 1st + Holtz for Timo.

We all had the high pick blinders on thinking Holtz is a 50 goal scoring stud.
In truth the return Grier got is the best return he could have and the draft luck getting Musty helped a lot.

Speaking of stuff I just took a look at washington's zones starts and got a LOT higher on going after guys like Dowd, Malenstyn, and NAK.

3% offensive zone starts. 30% defensive zone starts. **** is utterly ridiculous

What do you think he would cost? Maybe Fehevary as a younger target to fill the 2LD role?

How much would we have to add onto a pick Swap of the 1sts for Malenstyn and/or Fehevary?
