Dubas says he already has Pageau in Eller at half the cap hit. No reason for Pageau without a major sweetener.

Maybe package Lee and Pageau together to the Hawks? I'd be very much interested in trying to acquire that 2024 1st of yours. Not suggesting a straight up Future Considerations, but maybe dropping back in the draft for taking on $12M in cap space for 2 years?

Hawks need high picks more than they need 2nds. I'd do this Hawks trade above too! Just having a conversation and thinking out of the box.

I like exo's idea above. But the Hawks would probably take Lee for the two 2nd's as well. Tampa Bay declines though. The GM loves Tanner J. Wahlstrom is an inferior substitute for him as well.

I would consider it but would probably want to keep one of them. Would also rather hold on to the 2024 1st because we haven’t had a first round pick since 2018 I believe

Dang. I needed to do a quick check because that's incredible. 2019 with Holmstrom, but wow. I get it. ok.

2020 was traded for jgp, 2021 palms and Zajac, 2022 Romanov, 2023 horvat. We will see. Wouldn’t be shocked if we trade it again for hopefully a first line winger

If Tampa can get a 4th+ for Jeannot, they should do it. They need to clear all or most of his cap for other, more important moves, and Wahlstrom can be waived if he doesn't work out.

penguins would probably be more interested in Lee, but only with retention. I could see them trying him on the 3rd line at 50% retained.
I don't know, I think SJS is the place for NYI to try to dump cap, not PIT or CHI.
