Description
1st gives OTT the chance to forfeit their 2024 1st and restart fresh next year, while still having a pick in the top 10 in 2024. A third and some cap space for the new owner to spend in the offseason.

Devils get a center, right-handed, for Hughes that can win faceoffs.

    Why would OTT move Pinto unless it was a significant overpayment?

    The difference between the Boston pick and NJ's is not worth Pinto... at all.

    There would be no reason to trade Schmid for Stolarz rights. We know FLA is not extending Stolarz. Schmid is waiver exempt. And Stolarz is from Jersey….imagine he would listen to our offer July 1st as much as he would June 1st.

    Do you consider the 2024 1st 10th overall for Pinto? Or would it be a 2024 1st round plus another pick/ roster player/ etc?

    In this ACGM I have Daws/ Poulter as the goalies in AHL, Breannn in the ECHL. Schmid is just the odd man out and rather get something for him them nothing. Plus I'm high on Stolarz and anything to get him signed so the Devils can have 2 NHL goalies with experience would be high on the list; so its not this game of musical goal-crease like the last couple years.

    I don’t see the Sens doing it. the relationship is really strong with Pinto and they’re working out a long-term deal with him right now. 10th overall isn’t like, crazy unreasonable or anything like that, I just don’t think it makes sense for the Sens. they can have Pinto now as a young 2C, or they can Konsta Helenius at 10th overall and hope he can be a young 2C eventually

    I prefer Schmid to Daws over the long-term

    I wouldn't in this draft. Maybe a strong one like last year. Definitely strongly consider it in 2015. Just not confident a 10th overall has much better chance of being a better contributor than Pinto and it will take years to get that in the first place.
