Sorry, but that’s a very unappealing trade for Buffalo. We already have lots of offensive oriented defenders.

lol ok, ridiculous. Also , he is a physical puck mover with one of the strongest slap shot. saying he is only a offensive player is weird.

please explain how he is toxic? cuz by all accounts hes been a standout since showing up in Laval this year. Also MTL isnt going to move that potential future top 4 RD for a depth center.

Ostlund has a great top 6 potential imo, maybe #3c but could be top 6

Which is fair, but with Beck and Dach doesnt really make sense to move a need for that.

I know nada about that Dman, like his size and contract, but Ostlund is already showing good signs with the Amerks and could be their 3 C eventually.

Don't pretend like you don't know what he's talking about. It's fine if you still like him but everyone knows the story here. Pretending like it didn't happen makes it 80x worse.

His best skills are all with the puck correct? weird as it sounds the Sabres need more d-men whose best skills are without it.

I would says his 3 strengths are:

- physicality
- slap shot power
- speed

Could see him turn in a #4-5 on the sabres

Dahlin/Power
Byram/Mailloux

This is good but not what the sabres need from their blue line right now. Dahlin and Byram are two of the best shooting d-men in the league. All 3 are excellent puck movers. Not that you can ever have too many, but at this stage they need to put a premium on getting guys who can do the stuff without the puck. B/c it's looking more and more like Samuelsson won't be the guy they thought.

Im not arguing against your valuation of mailloux, but its not where the Sabres need to spend their assets right now.

I mean I would do a reinbacher trade, but the price would be expensive. Probably Quinn

For sure, and it should be, reinbacher is fantastic. The type of d-man the Sabres need is probably a FA signing (yikes) or trading with someone looking to start their rebuild. Montreal is already at least half way through and probably switching to buyer mode soon. Not sure its a good fit.

what? you claiming he is toxic in the lockeroom? theres nothing at all that suggests that. so what your claiming isnt a fact its an opinion thats back by nothing.

he called him a toxic player, likely b/c of what he did while he was in sweden. made no comment about his presence in the locker room.
