Yeah certainly not

We will give you a 3rd for Trouba and then we will give you another 3rd for Kakko

Buddy why you trying to start a fight today?

Trouba has a NMC, and is too old for a player we want as a main piece in a deal. Kakko is a bust, and for a RW we're specifically looking for right shot, and Kakko is a left.

Rangers don't need to dish out a major trade for Zegras. He'd cost Perreault + 1st at the minimum. Trouba and Kakko won't be dealt for less than 1st's in a deal which most teams wouldn't do so they are staying put.

I’d love me some Mintyuov Trouba pairing though! Certainly not for Z though

Yeah I don't see why Anaheim would deal Zegras. You have 3-4 elite centers and that's a problem every team wishes for. Centers can adjust to the Wing pretty easily and the cap space you have can help fill other needs without dealing premium pieces. Rangers would trade Trouba but he provides an important role where even making $8M they can't let him go for less than a 1st. Same with Kakko.

If the Oilers first is on the table for Trouba i think Verbeek would be hardpressed not to try something like that and acquire a cap dump to re-accumulate the asset. Trouba would help the young d-core a lot and they could easily make a playoff push with Cutter Gauthier and your top 3 picking coming in.

I think that would be way to rich for 2 years while he is ‘overpaid’ anything more than a 3rd would make me not do it even though I’d love it

Edit: ehhh I’d probably send Bostons 2nd and maybe a late rounder too — Stome and Pitts 3rd?

Ducks wont be competing until Trouba’s contract expires. Maybe more like Zegras + for Schneider + Perreault

No chance. Doesn't make any sense for us. Just keep Zegras.

Strome won't be of any interest lol, first team that offers a 1st or two 2nds gets the deal done. Otherwise we will just keep him for the remainder of his contract.

Agreed. And we’re more than happy to. It’s not Ducks fans on this platform proposing Zegras trades

Yeah I've noticed that. No team just starts dishing out elite centers for no reason. Top 6 is going to be lethal soon.

Try rights to Gabe Perreault and either your 2025 first-round draft pick or Braden Schneider.

You ducklings are laughable.
Zegras is THE unwanted one!
Especially to a defensive well oiled machine.
For our beast captain & next year's Laf... lol pass.
You'll be able to trade him, but most likely to a desperate lesser team

I respect Zegras for what he is but with that said I don't want him anywhere near NYR.
And yes I much rather have Trouba and Kakko. I truly do.

I’m not sure you could’ve missed reality by much more than you did here tbh. It’s not really your fault though, ANA hockey is tough to watch so I wouldn’t expect other fans to see much of it. You may feel Z is unwanted in your opinion, but there’s a reason you won’t find a single Zegras trade on this platform coming from a fan of the team that has him and watches him play.

Pay less attention to the media portrayal and watch a game or two (if you can subject yourself to that much Ducks hockey 🤦‍♂️), and I’ll be very surprised if you don’t change your mind. The media makes him out to be some cocky, 2x/year flashy goal scorer who thinks he’s hot s*** after an undeserved chel cover. In reality the dude is everything you want in a locker room guy. The most positive player on the ice, easily my guess for the Duck who loves the game of hockey the most, and has a team-first and pass-first mentality. His defensive game came a long way this season (statistically and to the eye test), though understandably has a ways to go for a now-23 year old. Faceoffs are his crux though. He definitely needs to figure out how to win faceoffs unless he’s cool to play wing full time. He’s garbage on the dot

You couldn't be more wrong.
He's available cause he's a coach killer.
Verbeek & all GMs know this.
I understand how your fans like his style & points though

Sorry my bad I thought I was having a rational conversation with an adult, you must be a child. Nice to see a young hockey fan so engaged and passionate, but I’ll let you discuss with someone your own age. Enjoy your Rangers’ playoff run 👍

I wish. I'm old as dust and seen it all. Teams built with softies go nowhere fast, especially now in a cap league. He's no playoff type and a coach killer. The truth hurts, I know.

Sorry for mistaking you for a child, but I figured anyone beyond adolescence would base their argument on something at least remotely grounded in reality and not just pure conjecture. Please do share your evidence that every GM in the league knows that Zegras is a coach killer 😂.

His inability to be coached, and softness for big games totally explains why he was the MVP on the championship winning ‘21 WJC team, and just got asked to join the US for world’s. Coaches just reallllly despise this guy 🤡

Btw, here’s a Zegras quote from ANA’s.. coach. Last week

“I do think, and I said this back in October when he came to training camp late, the messaging for me was about, 'Hey, your offense is always going to be there. You got a super IQ on the ice, you make plays, but your focus on defense has to be equally as invested as your offensive focus.' And he tried. He did what we asked him to do. I think analytically, he did a really good job those first 10 or 12 games, whatever it was. He wasn't getting the points, but I was really impressed with his compete level and I was impressed with his defensive details.

So comes back and the poor guy breaks his ankle. Now he's behind the eight ball again. It's an 11 week absence. And then he comes out and again, I thought he was terrific. I don't know how many games he played until the end of the season, but he was visible. I think he probably had close to a point a game if I'm just thinking out loud. His plus-minus was good. So he did a lot of things that I think reflect a lot of growth as a person and as a player and I'm really excited for him. I'm excited to see how he works off of this in the fall.”

Let’s maybe just agree to disagree. But in the future, my recommendation would be to only argue about something so definitively if you actually have some knowledge on the subject 🤷‍♂️

Zegras is going to have to learn the Mitch Marner speak, somewhere else and it will be a beautiful day once these 2,3 Ducks fans stop their non stop crying about how no one understands his true value, feelings and emotions, etc
