Yup, there’s no justification for starting Sammy in game 5. None at all
As for firing Keefe, I really don’t see any downside to that. Shanahan too
In reply to Rip's comment. Just because Keefe hasn't announced the starting goalie to the media, doesn't mean he has told Woll or Samsonov. I'm hoping it's Woll tpp.
Looking a bit ahead, the Leafs are currently likely to have the 22nd draft pick this year (23 if Vegas doesn't make the 3rd round).
I'm really hoping MBN falls to us there. How often do you get a chance to draft a Norwegian?
MBN screams riser to me. Seems like a guy who'll find up on the Wings or Caps. I'm super high on Michael Hage, he'd be an excellent Leaf. Maybe the leafs will add another pick via Marner trade...
Georgiev was at 2.60 gaa when COL won. Vasi was at 2.52 the year prior. Hell even Binners big run to the cup was 2.46
3 is certainly the high end, and we could use improvement on that, but it isn't crazy
Nope those numbers are wrong. First of all Kuemper was the goalie for the avs and still was under 3 a game. Sammy is over for his career. Vasi was 1.9 in both the years he won. No one wins with a 3+ gaa

Maybe, but from the reports I'm seeing he is expected to go lower than rankings

Dude, I'm literally pulling the numbers from CF. You're just wrong

Yep like if TOR PP was running at 30% and their PK was at 75% and they were scoring 3 a game and still down 3-1 100% you could say Sammy was the main problem but rn thats not the case
TOR is struggling to generate offense 5 on 5 and their special teams aint helping them either lul
A 7% PP is by far the biggest issue right now with a 50% PK and struggling to generate 5 on 5 offense. Sammy is basically issue 4 or 5 rn if you want to include a toxic bench or Keefe
Gonna go out on a limb here and say that Sammy hasn't been the issue. Him getting pulled last game was more a reflection of the team than it was of him. I don't think its gonna matter whether it is Sammy or Woll in net. If the skaters don't figure their **** out quickly we're gonna lose
I agree with you that he hasn’t been the main issue, and that it’s probably not going to make a difference. But you can’t start him again, not when he’s still been bad most of this series and Woll is right there. Makes no sense.

I think I'd prefer Woll, but I see the argument for Sammy and frankly I just don't care enough to get mad about it. We have much larger issues
I am as guilty as anyone for being negative on this team. But today I woke up and decided to be positive. I think the game plan just won't ever work and really 3 of the core 4 are sick/hurt and how far does any team go with 3 of their stars hurt? Would Edmonton survive McDavid and Draisaitl hurt? Nope. How would Colorado do if MacKinnon, Makar and Rantanen were out?
Maybe Matthews gets healthy, Willy gets up to speed and Marner has a big game? That could swing some momentum towards to.
Not sure about your reasoning here but I can appreciate the positive attitude
