Switch the pick to a leafs first then but Andersson isn’t part of that trade unless its a significant package.

So instead of having dvorak at 4.45m for one more year montreal will have Järnkrok next year at 4.325m and he has a longer contract at 2.1m ?!?! And montreal will be using their last retention slot ?!?! Help me make sense of it

I'm gonna be completely honest I misread the trade and thought you included Leafs 1st not Arizona's lol. Still, Kampf is a negative asset and Liljegren does not hold as much value as us Leafs fans would like to believe. I think that probably gets you 75% there, maybe throw in Knies?

Calgary wouldn't accept Marner even if Utah was dumb enough to give up their 1st for 1 year of a soft overpaid perimeter player who vanishes in the playoffs. It'd take Nylander, or Knies + 2024 1st and more to get both Marky with retention and Andersson.

I can see Bumbling Brad overpaying twice for either one. Once to acquire the player and again later to extend Chychrun or dump Chabot.
