Getting on the Wagon

Created by: Logicalicesports
Team: 2024-25 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 29, 2024
Published: Apr. 29, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I started this with the idea of going after Marner. After getting the trade figured out I realized that Marner is not the right target for this team. Sure he would help instantly and become a very important piece to the Capitals but we need to embrace the suck and start rebuilding a young core. Keep Ovi around to break the record, its pretty clear we do not have what it takes to make a run in the playoffs and that's okay. This team is about Ovi's legacy now and prepping for the future. I really don't care about success of the team for the next few years, just rebuild intelligently and form a team that will be able revitalize the franchise in the near future.

If on the board draft MBN and let him develop another year before bringing him in. Close to an NHL ready prospect.

Yea man let's help Ovi get the record by trading away the only good offensive player left on the roster for a guy we're going to scratch and "Brandon Carlo"

I honestly cannot stand Carlsson and I have not liked his game for YEARS. He does one thing well and the rest of his game is a garbage fire in my opinion

Even if that were true, it's a good thing the one thing he does well is the most important thing in the game!

Yeah uh. I'm not trading Carlson away. Guy should be a cap for life. GMBM should go get him some help on the blue line rather than moving him.

The whole Bedard friendship thing doesn't make up for the shortcomings in Suzdalev's game. His skating is average at best - the Hawks want players who are high level skaters. And for a guy his size, sounds like he plays kind of a soft game. Rather just keep Reichel.
