Description

Habs have plenty of draft picks to make it happen and the cap flexibility... Jarvis vastly improves the top 6 and they still have $11M+ to upgrade the rest of the roster. Offer sheet would likely be cheaper than a trade for his RFA rights.

They could also buyout Anderson to create even more cap space.

Offer sheeting Jarivs would force Carolina to have to choose to retain only 2 of Guentzel, Necas, and Jarvis.

I don't see how that puts Carolina under stress at all.

The Hurricanes have $28 million in cap space and 16 roster spots filled.

Guentzel $10 million, Jarvis $7.5 million and Necas $6.5 million leaves $4 million to spread among 4 spear carriers.

Canes match that with no hesitation. They have a lot of cap this offseason and getting Jarvis signed is gonna be a top priority.
