I'd certainly take as a Leaf fan.. Not sure why Montreal does.

I made a 3 way trade with CGY and TOR on another AGM - those asset could probably be flipped for a good RHD and a good Goalie.

HABS Pass. After what I saw on the LEAFS bench the other night; I don`t want either of Nylander, Marner, Tavares or Matthews. None of them are character players. They only play during the regular season.
Leafs are a Team of Prima Donna`s

I would rather look for some other RW player.

I saw that post. There are lots of good goalies available as UFAs, and certainly cost a lot less than 6m Markstrom. Markstrom....no interest from the Leafs.
Gee, I like Weager but he is 30 years old with seven years left on his contract. We have seen how players in their 30s hit the wall suddenly, especially Dmen.
IMO, Nylander's best fit is the Habs. Leafs should take that deal if offered.

??? You mean Leafs players calling out another Leafs player for not working hard enough?

If that's considered a Prima Dona, is that what Mackinnon is as well? Malkin and Kessel are as well? Jamie Benn? Leon Draisaitl?

It's hilarious that literally every hockey guy is saying that was a good thing. Unsurprisingly, the goofs on this page make it out to be something bad.

I guess MacKinnon is a bad because he got into a screaming match with his coach on the way to winning a cup eh?

I see the vision, and this would certainly put the Habs in a playoffs spot, but the Leafs obviously decline. To get a top 5 winger entering/currently in his prime who is locked up long-term is borderline untradable. To get Nylander would be to overpay on whatever Habs fans would consider an overpay, which obviously you wouldn't do (I wouldn't either if I were a Habs fan).

Something along the lines of Guhle/Slafovsky/mid 1st would be what the Leafs would ask for at minimum.

100% no for Slaf - I think the package as is is pretty good. You get the equivalent of 4 first round pick...

Matheson > Guhle right now - which makes the difference inside your window.

I'm not saying the package you put together is bad, I'm just saying to get Nylander it would have to be a gross overpay. Also Leafs window is probably next 5 years, I think they need to take Stars approach where you have a mix of players on ELC, emerging primes, and current primes. That's where younger players like Guhle/Slaf come in, playing well above their ELC value (but totally understand why Slaf is 100% no lol)

Yeah - but that's why I think these assets could easily be flipped or be part of a 3-way trade.

The difference is that those Players put the effort on the ice with every shift. Can`t say the same thing for the LEAFS FAB FOUR

Well when the HABS were in the playoffs in 2021 they eliminated the Leafs in the 1st rd and made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. Caufield and Suzuki put the last nail in the Leafs coffin.

Leafs are still trying with the same FAB FOUR.

I have a solution. Get rid of the coach. He has lost complete control

What did they do? 4 goals in 20 games... A little less than Marner's GPG pace... 12 pts in 20 games? a .6 PGP, less than the core 5 players...

Caufield didn't preform in the playoffs either, so do you want him gone?
