Yzerman has already said that, while summer improvement could change things, he doesn't see anybody in GR being an NHL possibility outside Berggren/Johansson.

If Maatta was a RHD perhaps Chicago would make this deal but he’s not. The Hawks are loaded with young LHD and they aren’t going to block the road with average veteran d-man.

Raymond is another Zadina. Both are soft and extremely bad defensively. Zadina with the worst plus minus in the league this year and Raymond wasn’t far behind. Marner is soft but he’s actually great defensively and is a much smarter player than Raymond. Tanner Jeannot is a much better player than Zadina cus he’s physical and is a great role player. Raymond puts up decent points but he’s nothing special offensively. I would rather have Jeannot at his price rather than paying Raymond 8 million per. You should change your username it’s really bad

It wasn't Seider. He was NHL ready during the COVID season but the uncertainty forced them to put him in the SHL. It wasn't Edvinsson. They overbooked the defense thinking he was going to be out until December (Fair assumption) and he ended up being ready for camp. Then they overcooked him until after the deadline.
