ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
1Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-Ok, not this pick though
2Logo of the San Jose Sharks-With the fact that SJ doesn’t have much prospects on either side of the defense, I do believe Dickinson should be the pick here
3Logo of the Minnesota Wild-I would think they grab a center or LD, so either Lindstrom or Silayev
4Logo of the Chicago Blackhawks-I really see Demidov going to CHI, I know CHI wants that dynamic duo in their forward core
5Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-Easy pick for ANA
6Logo of the Columbus Blue Jackets-With Lindstrom gone, Iginla could actually be a possibility with his physicality, and can play wing and center
7Logo of the Montreal Canadiens-I doubt MTL go small, and ends up taking one of the most underrated players in the entire draft
9Logo of the Ottawa Senators-If Catton’s there, Catton is probably the pick
10Logo of the Seattle Kraken-I would think Buium, but Parekh does seem like a great fit
11Logo of the Calgary Flames-They probably should go for a D here
12Logo of the New Jersey Devils-MBN seems like a great fit, and will definitely be a top 6 player
13Logo of the Philadelphia Flyers-Helenius and Philly seems like an amazing fit
14Logo of the San Jose SharksLogo of the Pittsburgh PenguinsThey won’t leave Eiserman on the board
15Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-They should take Yak, but their RD is stacked
16Logo of the St. Louis Blues-Highway robbery
17Logo of the Washington Capitals-
18Logo of the New York Islanders-
19Logo of the Vegas Golden Knights-
20Logo of the Chicago BlackhawksLogo of the Tampa Bay LightningDid they draft 2/3 of their 1st line in 1 draft?
21Logo of the Los Angeles Kings-
22Logo of the Nashville Predators-
23Logo of the Toronto Maple Leafs-
24Logo of the Anaheim DucksLogo of the Edmonton Oilers
25Logo of the Colorado Avalanche-
26Logo of the Ottawa SenatorsLogo of the Boston Bruins
27Logo of the Calgary FlamesLogo of the Vancouver Canucks
28Logo of the Montreal CanadiensLogo of the Winnipeg Jets

If St. Louis could grab Yakemchuk at 16 I would be over the moon.

I'd love Catton, so no complaints here.

I think Montreal reaches regardless if they pick 5, 6 or 7. Montreal has enough prospects/draft capital to make a risky pick this year. I really think if Demidov is gone, Eiserman, Iginla, Greentree or Sennecke is 100% the pick. I like Sennecke too, He's big, silky hands and a goal scorer. Can't see MTL wouldn't want that

So I’d assume you haven’t scouted Sennecke much

No, actually I've watched him a lot, especially his playoffs vs Ottawa since I'm a 67's fan, he's good, but not top 10 good

Think tools: Great skater, amazing hands, and solid IQ. I mean, that is exactly the tools that can make a top line guy. Plus his size is a nice bonus. He had a Tage Thompson level growth spurt, where his play should be very dis balanced because of such steep growth, but, he has looked very good non the less.
I won’t lie, I just discovered him yesterday , so I do have more work on him, but I do see validity in drafting him in MTLs view

With the fact that SJ doesn’t have much prospects on either side of the defense, I do believe Dickinson should be the pick here

Except for the 15 LHD prospects the Sharks already have. Literally the last thing they need

With all due respect, there isn't anyone who has top-pair potential, and probably only Shakir and Ferraro who could be decent 2nd pair. There is no one on that left side that can carry that SJ Defense, so that's why I think SJ should just take the best D available, who imo, is Dickinson. I completely understand Lev being the pick though

Quick heads up if a team at 11 or above wins the lotto first then SJ wins the 1st OA.
So San Jose would be drafting Celebrini.
Capfriendly needs to fix this error with their lotto setup

They do need to fix this. In the sim though, I don’t remember 100%, but I do think BUF ended up winning the lottery 1st, so it would still be the correct order here, but they need to change the way it’s written

Shakir absolutely does have top pairing potential, Cagnoni also does. Then there's Thrun, and Furlong who are very solid middle pairing projected players (Thrun is already shown he has that capability).

Also i'd easily take Buium over him if they were forced to take a LHD.

Agree but as posted they were the 2nd lotto winner.

A stove top is 100% accurate sharks don’t have a bonafide #1 LD, maybe Mukhamadulin, but I agree he is more a 2nd pair and PP guy.

My issue with Dickenson is he isn’t a top pair guy either he’s a 2nd pair, D specialist with maybe a 30-35 point ceiling. And sharks really badly need a top pair 40+ point two way D if they don’t get Celebrini.
And Cagnioni has shown potential that teams missed poorly on him, but he’s a LONG way from declaring him to have top pair potential.

Eisermen is a great fit why are you reaching on a overhyped prospect in that Norwegian dude. i Take sacha and Greentree over him as well, Devils need size and physicality but that norway man doesnt give me
that.
