Mercer would be insane to accept this deal can’t lie

Frankly I'm hoping to fleece him based on his down year and a role on a long term contender. There is money available for a raise if needed, or could go to a bridge if he really plays hardball

That's what my target was with Fehevary to fill that exact role, and a good defensive 2nd pair LHD is what I've been preaching ALL YEAR LONG, from Pettersson to Hanifin (who is good defensively and on the PK) to anyone else.

I think yeah 3rd line guys who can score some and play 2 way to fill out the bottom 6 is the goal. Speed and Size are keys in this area.

Foegele, Trenin, Malenstyn, Rossi, etc etc. Maybe replace clarke with a 2 way veteran like Martinook

No thanks, the downgrade from Rossi to Holtz and Gus to Daws isn't worth 13 to 10

I’d put Haula into a more defensive role and pair Foegele’s speed with Jack and then probably Mercer

I think #13+Gus for #10+Dawes is pretty close in value. That turns the rest of the trade into Rossi+4th for Holtz, which Minnesota would obviously pass on that value.
