You're dreaming on the Islanders trade. And I doubt Markstrom would waive for Utah, also no chance we get 6th overall for markstrom. Who are we making an exception for, all those players are younger?

Barzal is 4 years younger, has been a more productive player over the past 2 years, and cost $1.35M less per year going forward. Flames add a significant piece to make that deal work.

If Utah and the Isles made those offers Calgary would accept both instantly. It's too bad no GM would make those offers.
