Description
I am well aware that Marner and Tavares have full NMC. I tried to find scenarios that work with the cap and work in terms of what a team needs.

Chicago could use 1 year of Tavares to help support their young guys. After his signing bonus he is only owed 910k.

Seattle needs super star talent. Marner is just that.

Thoughts?

    Tavares is fine, as we have already discussed. I don't see Lily as being worth a 2nd round pick or a target for CHI, though. But, it isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility. Maybe CHI's front office see's something they like in him and/or think he fits something CHI needs and/or think he has more room to grow.

    Lillypad is not worth a 2nd rounder. Hawks don't take JT for free and only a few have the cap space so likely Leafs will need to pay to move him or retain some of his cap hit

    Hawks would probably make the Tavares deal. That deal makes a lot of sense for both teams. Hawks likely wouldn't pay a 2nd for Lilypad. I could see the '24 Ottawa 3rd as the most the Hawks pay for Lilypad.

    I don't see Chicago giving you pick #34 for Liljegren. Maybe the Vancouver second.

    The Tavares trade is creative. I could see it happening.

    Fair enough. Either way the value for Lily is close enough. The Van or LA 2nd could be a possibility also.

    And yes I think this Tavares trade makes sense for both teams.
