I would think Seattle says no here.

A couple high end prospects, a very good cheap goal scoring winger, and an average defenseman. Plus their bigger selections for this year. Nah no way

COL just isn’t going to bring in via trade any contracts that don’t have at least equal value going out. Route it through another team to take his cap hit to $1M and maybe COL does it.

Was just going to say 3rd team retention on him would be under 800k. I'd be in favour of this move, not much risk really if we're looking for a JJ replacement
