Description
Who would you suggest as potential young, buy low candidates?

Thinking specifically...I mean...
-- Players age 25 or younger
-- Maybe underperforming
-- Maybe coming off injury
-- Maybe blocked from ice time
-- Maybe not on good terms with team/coach
-- Maybe hitting RFA on cap tight team
-- Maybe don't fit into teams plans for whatever reason
-- But still have promise

I do not mean....
-- Players who will be rightly discounted
-- Players acquired through one-sided trades
-- Players that are just plain not good

Less about the price you pay...more about the trajectory after you buy

Who else would you add?

Lundkvist has only averaged 5 minutes a night in the play offs, he could be one. Also in Dallas Delandria has only played 4 games.

I would have Kotkaniemi on here over Drury. KK's a very good player, but this is BY FAR his worst season since his sophomore year. Drury more or less is what he is, he's not going to get better.

I would consider adding Nick Robertson to this list...

25 of younger? 👍
Came off injury last year? 👍
Blocked form ice time? 👍
Was not on good terms with Toronto? 👍
RFA on a cap strained team? 👍
Doesn't fit on GM's ideology? 👍
Scored 20+ goals in 50ish games with only getting 10-12 minutes a night? 👍

Considering Dach was the buy low candidate when Habs got him, I don't think he's again ready to be available just because of injury. He's heavily in the plans for next year for this Habs team. Nothing else other than injury and age apply to his situation. Hasn't underperformed, isn't blocked, fits team structure, good with coaching staff, signed long term, Habs have tons of roster and cap space, etc etc

From the Habs instead add Harris and Barron. Both had down years and despite what some Habs fans say aren't going to bring back a huge return. Not necessarily a bargain but definitely not the Lundqvist comparable some think.

Liljegren isn't a buy low guy. He's legit a top 4 defenceman.
