Murphy is worth a lot more than scraps, especially retained

Peddie: Ok I just got here. What is our biggest need?

Tree: Defense and goaltending.

Shammy: Quality forward depth and a head coach.

Peddie: So who are you thinking?

Tree: Tanev and Zadorov.

Shammy: Stamkos!

Peddie: Why? Don't we already have the Core 5?

Tree: Me want Z! Me want Z!

Shammy: Stammy Time!

Peddie: Why the F did I take this job?

2 solid prospects for a guy pushing 32 isn't that bad, Janrkrok is a 35 - 40 point player, could be used with all the young talent up front

I'm as good as the idea of Stamkos signing with Toronto. 🙄

Why don't you fix your defense instead of cheaping out all the time?

Jarnkrok is a product of Matthews and frankly is a replacement level top 9 guy; easy to find in free agency and not worth much value to Chicago (or another team). Both prospects are "ok", but they aren't worth Murphy especially retained.

Be it with JT and Nylander or Matthews and Marner, his production is a byproduct. Those guys are easy to find, which is why almost every AGM from Leafs fans created has him being traded.

That's not true at all, we have him in mock trades because outside of the big 4 he's the only movable contract, with Bert and Domi needing extensions, Jarnkrok is the odd man out, we all love him in toronto, he's a reliable player but just doesn't fit anymore, He didn't play with JT and Marner either, he started the year with Matthews for a few games, then went to the third line then got injured. I'm not saying youre wrong, he had some games with Matthews Marner and Tavares but like 80% we're with Robertson, Mcmann, Domi, Knies, Kampf

Grebyonkin is a solid prospect, but still hasn't played one minute yet in North America. Rest of that package is scraps. Not nearly enough for Murphy. And Jarnkrok ain't coming close to 40 points in the Hawks lineup because he won't be playing with Bedard.

If Nick god damn Foligno is putting up 37 points, I'm sure Janrkrok will be fine lmao

Nick Foligno played a TON this year on Bedard's LW and was the net front guy on PP1. That sort of deployment will inflate anybody's numbers.

In reality, you are asking for the Hawks to give their 2nd pair shut down RD for a prospect that has looked decent in the AHL, a prospect that has yet to leave Russia & a vet that has never hit 40 pts in his career. He is good for 20 to 35 pts. Who would not be able to keep up w/any of the young talent most likely. Square pegs round hole, man.
