As risky as it gets. The contract is definitely a big question mark, but if the Canucks can't bring back lindholm i think KK could be a decent fill in on the 3rd line that would be incredibly cheap in a trade. Not sure if the Canucks would want that contract though but the Hurricanes are desperate for some more capspace to resign some of their impact guys

If we dont resign Hronek i love the idea of bringing in Chychrun to replace him. It wouldnt be cheap to do so but he's a great player and would be worth a look at.

Chychrun is certainly available. the rough asking price is probably a 1st and a young, NHL-ready player. I imagine the Sens would be willing to take a later pick of the player portion was really worth it

Unless Carolina is paying us a 1st+ to take on Kotkaniemi they can keep him. Canucks should have no interest in that terrible contract

Chychrun could be had, I will say though do not expect him to replace Hronek. I thought he struggled playing the right side in general, nevermind the questionable defense

Yeah its not a contract i would take without a sweetener, but i feel there is still something there with Kotkaniemi and he could work well in a Tocchet system next to Garland and Joshua. I don't expect him to be looked at by the Canucks

This is why I think VAN should look elsewhere, including just the option of re-signing Zadorov. The right side is a bigger need and if Chychrun struggles there then he's probably not a fit.
