Can Nuke even go on LTIR? Or would his cap just count still while suspended?

No chance pens give up MP for a late first while also including several picks of their own lol. Nearly every contender in the league will beat that offer for a top pairing shutdown D signed cheap. Especially since the pens would retain half if they decided to move him.

You really traded a top 4 dman for a 3rd line winger that COL let walk a year ago? That is awful. The PIT trade is actually awful for them. Then you top it all off trading another top 4 dman for a guy you make 4C. This is not good.

I'm beating a dead horse, but no chance the Pens make that trade.

Top pairing defenseman lmao, he ain't that good. But you're right I got the price wrong. I feel like a team wouldn't give up a first for him without getting another lower pick back though. After seeing the buyers market last trade deadline, it feels like it would be hard for Gms to give up a first for a second-pairing defenseman. The trade isn't very realistic.

I was just fckn around, not serious. But i can't believe the Avs let Erod walk to sign miles wood, blows my mind. It felt like Josh Manson made a mistake that lead to a goal every playoff game, he's bad(some people don't know that). You're right about the MP trade, they wouldn't take that. Just doesn't feel like a Gm would give up a first for him without getting something back.

If you don’t know who the player is or how good he is that’s fine lol but don’t make a very lopsided trade for him then bash him and his value without actually looking up the advanced stats to see how excellent he is as a top pair shutdown D tears of joy

I know the player. I don't think he's a top pairing Dman. He's a very good second-paring shut down dman. He played on the top pair for the Pens because they don't have anyone else. I wouldn't love giving up a first for him. I think he would cost a good D prospect and a 2nd round pick.(maybe another lower pick on top of that). And as I admitted, I got the value wrong.

I mean I understood the Wood move of getting more physical not the the term though. Manson’s not bad I like his physical play, and he had good metrics you just have to understand that like 90% of guys he has some issues that crop up but that’s the case of all 2nd pairing guys that’s why they are 2nd pairing.

I don't understand getting Wood, and wanting to be more physical. Erod was great in the Seattle series and didn't shy away from the tough style Seattle played. He's an elite defensive winger that gives you a minimum of 40 points, while only making 500k more than wood. If you want to get more physcial, they should've signed or traded for players like Duhaime last offseason who only make a 1mil. don't pay a guy who should be a 4th liner 3rd liner money.

Manson made mistakes after mistakes leading to opposing goals in the playoffs. The only time he ever really hit people was in the neutral zone and he was bad in front of our net. Mansons metrics are okay offensively and bad defensively, and he's turning 33 this year. I prioritize good players over size.

There's no reason for Winnipeg to look at that.

The problem with Erod is that he was playing top 6 minutes (17:51 TOI in COL) and drawing the Wood (13:41 TOI this year) comparison isn’t fair and for what it’s worth they produce at an equal rate Erod was at 1.6p/60 Wood 1.5p/60. Drouin is who replaced Erod and calling him elite defensively is a stretch considering he was starting in the OZ 52.5% of the time compared to Wood at 36.5%. Use that zone start time and p/60 comparison and is Erod really that much better?

Bro I think you are hyper focused on a couple of very visible plays. If he was that bad in the playoffs how did he have a +7 rating, and 52.2 CF in 5v5 while having a 61.2% defensive zone start rate? Sure you prioritize good play but you proposed a bad trade in value for Manson replacing him with an unrealistic MP trade and then for some reason put a 26yr old guy with 23 NHL games experience, how is that prioritizing good play?
