Considering that Hronek is asking for 8mil, Canes just keep Morrow and the picks. Morrow likely ends up being better than Hronek anyways.

After thinking about it for a bit... I agree Morrow is probably just a bridge too far but I do think that they could use a replacement for Burns for this season and maybe for another couple before Morrow develops fully

Canes pass. Will stay away from how good Hronek is since there’s been plenty of back and forth on that (I like him but not at 7+M that he’s supposedly looking for).

Morrow might not turn into anything great but he projects pretty well and his ELC even if he is mainly a bottom 4 guy who can run a PP is super valuable. Not to mention the picks included. Can’t imagine this happening.

That's the problem with good RFAs, one year till UFA. They want UFA $$$$. As you suggest, keep Morrow the two picks and still have 6m to sign another Dman.

Well the ducks say no thanks. Vatrano just scored 35+ goals and makes less than $4M. Not retaining for a pick in the 20s or later. Doesn’t make the ducks any better.
