Honestly that is a really good team but I don’t think Minnesota accepts, IDK why but I feel they need a Center.

EDM passes. They already have a Dman that's better than Karlsson and can't afford the massive cap hit that Karlsson carries.

They need Brodin more than they need a center. Assuming no trades, they have JEEK, Rossi, Khusnutdinov, Gaudreau, and Hartman as options at center. They don't have anyone remotely capable of playing Brodin's role on defense.

There would definitely need to be another trade/signing to fill the gap Brodin leaves, but agree there's no way you trade Brodin for a player who's been underperforming and a player that isn't needed. I'll let OP figure out which one is which. wink

Signing Zadorov is always step one for me when considering Brodin trades.

That Marner return is underwhelming, to say the least; Leafs decline easily

A 1st, or a 1st and a prospect…depending on where the 1st is.

I think Brodin is a great fit for an older team trying to hang on, or a young team needing a player to vault you towards being valid.

Maybe if Ryan Graves is the centerpiece of the return from PIT, would that work for MIN?
