You would probably know Blues expectations better than me. Do you think the Blues want to trade Parayko? And if so, what is the expected return? He’s singed a little expensive until he’s 36. The return on this proposal is 2 NHL ready prospects and a young controlled Dman, plus a first. What would you expect from a return on Parayko?

Blues flat out no.
NASH stealing Marner for nothing lol They are begging for this trade to go through lol
TOR probably pretty happy with that as well.

Agree on most, but no way are the Leafs adding that much to a Marner trade without getting a legitimate 1D or elite goalie. Obviously boosts their D core but they’ve tried balanced pairings before without much luck.

Nashville isn’t getting Marner without including Saros.

I’m of the opinion that any goalie looks like a star with quality D men in front. You’re likely right though

That’s probably equivalent to what St Louis gets for Parayko in my mind. What is that guy really worth?

Parayko is not available. One would need to offer something Army could not refuse, and Toronto doesn't have anything like that to offer.

You've offered a deferred 1st with a good chance of not being in the lottery, a decent 3C prospect and three nobodies. Such a package would not even be considered. It's lowball, quantity over quality like a mofo and none of it actually addresses a Blues need or offers a young potential replacement.

And if Alex Steeves doesn't do it...nothing will.

Trade is contingent on St Louis looking to rebuild and being open to moving Parayko, Krug, and Binnington, to grow and develop the future of the team.

Do Blues fans think they can contend for the cup again with these players?

No but we can keep Parayko through the rebuild so he can mentor the younger defensemen coming up. We don't want to move Parayko. We've tried moving Krug already and will probably ty again this summer. Our GM already said we are not doing a full teardown rebuild

I keep asking this same question. These guys are here every day defending the blues and specifically Paray like they are just on the cusp lol They are in tank mode lol The best thing they can do is blow it up as soon as possible. They would be smart to offer him in a deal for Marner now. Then eat 50% on Marners last year and swap him at the deadline for futures. There is nobody on this Blues team who will still be here when they are competitive again.

Thats always a mistake. Assets are always more valuable than "mentorship" lol They will need to do a full tear down or else they will just waste time and assets trying to retool for a couple years only to realize to late they still need the teardown.
