If this was a 1 for 1 it'd be more realistic. Pacioretty can pot 30 goals with john scott as his centreman. he got 30+ goals when it was desharnais who shouldnt have been more than a 3rd line centre throughout those years.

Swap Galchenyuk for Max Pacioretty in that trade or do a 1 for 1 Pacioretty for Lindholm.

In any case, I'm willingly and knowingly overpaying for Lindholm to shut their mouths and finally acquire our #1C (à la Ryan Johansen) before they get established and become impossible to grab.

I already tried both of those ideas. No dice, it seems. The reason being that trading Pacioretty to Carolina makes no sense for their current goals, since they won't be winning the cup in the next two years (hence why I said this is just a fun trade), and that CAR fans value Lindholm as superior potential than Galchenyuk.
