Interesting Chicago trade, depth is never a bad thing but I don't think the hawks have any forward spots open.

hell. ill take that trade. problem is debrincat will play this season which would put sharp on the third line. idk where hagelin would go. actually maybe they should take that trade anyways because sharp probably wont be a 82 game monster this year.

finally a reasonable trade for hagelin. he's a 2m player and with the retention could be deal for the hawks or other teams.

Why are we paying a 2nd round pick plus pouliot if we are already retaining salary and only getting a 3rd and a 5th? Drop the 2nd and it's a deal imo

Why do other Pens fans want to give up Hagelin for absolutely nothing? Especially when he plays a position we do not have oganizational depth. Sprong will not play on Crosbys right side for any extended period of time, that is sheary's spot, if not, hornqvist's with JG on the left. Sprong, doesn't play the Crosby (grinder) style of hockey that makes players like JG, CS, kunitz and Dupuis fit so well. Same reason Neal and Kessel didn't/don't mesh well with Crosby. If Sprong makes it, it will be on Malkin's right side, and Kessel should be the one to be shopped.
