What about something like this? Might need a little tweaking but here's the base:

NJD gets Stastny (retained salary) and Glendening
STL gets Zacha and Miles Wood/Vrbata/pick (whatever Turner wants)
DET gets Mcleod and Blais

Ok, how far apart is this smaller base?
NJD gets Stastny (retained salary) - top center option for win-now team, plays against top comp, PP, PK
STL gets Zacha - cheaper option with loads of potential at C/LW, already in NHL
DET gets Mcleod - top prospect, needs more time

STL gets Tippett + Zacha
DET gets Mcleod + Blais + Chimera

Edit: noticed you have a lot of forwards on the roster as it is - I would be willing to exchange Sceviour for a d-man (Mirco Mueller, Xavier Ouelett, Mackenzie Weegar, etc) or something else (this would change some of the trade pieces too).

I think your under estimating the value/cost of a top C. If you want to turn into a win now team you have to move prospects. You'd be getting 60+ points for 3.5 mil. He'd also allow you to match Hischier with lesser opponents, since Stastny plays against top lines. I'm also losing a good NHL ready prospect in Blais, and a pick.
You also get to resign Stastny next year as your most important UFA.
Also I could offer pulock or Schmaltz instead of Blais and a pick.
