No money was retained on the Mrazek trade, actual team cap hit is $2,000,000 below what is shown.
DET owns the 2018 7th round pick (DET) since the condition was not met in a trade with CGY in July 2017.
DET was awarded a compensatory 7th round pick for winning the NCAA bracket challenge
*DET has the option to reclaim the pick if it is in the top-3. If DET elects to reclaim the pick, VAN receives the 2019 2nd round pick (DET) and 2020 1st (DET)

I would do Nyquist @$3,25 + Saarijarvi + 2018 4th (DET) for Harkins + Vesalainen + 2018 5th (WPG)
It's not bad (I don't think the pick swap is necessary) but I'm looking at my roster and I could use a forward that is ready now (my top6 is hot garbage). Not saying it has to be in our trade, but I need to do a little work before I move Nyquist, otherwise I'll be icing a Jr team . What would the deal look like with Petan included along with those guys?

Harkins and Vesalainen are two solid pieces you could use to negotiate upgrades. Your team isn't in a position to win now and this trade should work well for both of us. I give up some future for the present and you give up some present for the future. The extra cap space would also likely give you more ability to eat a bad contract for a nice pick or prospect.

I'd like to re-inquire about Stafford. Do you remember where we left off last time?
Yeah, I think you wanted slightly more than my offer of 2 4ths and Staff for Hudon. My path now has become full rebuild, so not 100% sure if I can part with the picks, but we could potentially make something happen. I'll hit you on twitter.
Hey Ak, If you look in the waiver claims thread, I claimed Nic Kerdiles.
I claimed him too, and the waivers priority is based on September Power Rankings, which is very confusing in this particular situation haha. I'll see if we can get a ruling from the BOE. Will keep you posted.
