if that's the contract offer you've got yourself a pretty expensive rental. besides, I don't think the offer is good enough.
your main piece is Gardiner, so you pay to upgrade your Dmen. the difference between Gardiner (good Dman) and OEL (franchise cornerstone) isn't a rental ARI can't use and a spare asset you don't need because of your riches. you will need one of those riches if you want to acquire a top player.

Please stop it. Nine years, can't be done. OEL cannot sign an extension till next summer. Can't imagine why Washington would do that deal.

Sure dude 9 years? On a sign and trade it's only 8 years plus Oliver Ekman-Larsson is only going to sign with Toronto for $1 million more then what he's currently making now. Get real here and it still goes Marner/Nylander for a sign and trade for Oliver Ekman-Larsson Sage you're more common sense then this.

FYI This deal can't happen until next July 1st when Oliver Ekman-Larsson only has one year left on his deal any ways.
