Fair point might have to keep the NYI 1st and give them our first or maybe take Crouse or Gostisbehere out of the equation. realistically speaking Pearson is not bad cap when healthy hes is a top 2 winger

I think going forward Brock is going to turn it around. That being said his shot needs to be on the top line hes fast enough. And also his value is only going to increase

I think Podz is a natural 3c the way he plays. Beauvillier is 2L, Garland 2R, Brock 1R

I think those pieces get you to the table the rest is negotiation. I think its definitely good to run at least 3 goalies on the farm. Vancouver has a great goalie development group

You want this 1st round picks
Teams in the same division usually don't do much trading unless they both teams really need to dump guys. beside Flames would just wait in the shadows like they usually do, right
I don't think the Canucks would want to do any of the trades because they don't really fill our needs without giving up something we would have to go shop for.
They might trade Bo to Ottawa but they would want Brady back to start any conversation

JOHNNY JT LAINE
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>It just seems to me that the perception around Miller is that he will test UFA wherever he ends up, which gets priced in. Horvat, on the other hand, is younger, appears like a safe 50-60 point center, and others may view as easier to extend. Both have similar contracts remaining, but Horvat’s new deal will probably be less of a cap it.
Say, hypothetically, choices are:
(a) Miller, with 40% of extending at $8.5 million
(b) Horvat, with 70% of extending at $7.0 million
…I could see a lot of teams viewing (b) as more attractive.
Just a thought.</div></div>
Thats great so we will trade for Hischier straight up C for C

Nucks
If Miller goes before the season starts it will be because they want to sign him then we are going to see top 6 roster players coming back and picks or cap dumps. If he goes at the TDL then most likely teams are not trading roster players when they are on a cup run. So picks and prospects. If Miller stays to the TDL its better than even money Canucks are heading to the playoffs so no longer available. imho

Massage it the way you want to the stats show 60pt seasons. I think his best season was 19-20 he has a great year in the regular season and put up his best play off points.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>This is an extremely delusional comment</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>Prior to last season where everyone on the isles had a down season , Barzal was better than JT Miller over a 3 year sample. The fact you think the isles would trade their franchise C for a player who turns 30 in 7 months is insane.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>Even as recent as the 20-21 season Barzal was significantly better than Miller at even strength. Last season Barzal had the unluckiest season of his career with a 98 PDO, Miller had a 101 PDO. One of these players is a good bet to regress next season and It isn't Barzal.
<img class="for_img" src="" alt="<a href="><img src="https://i.ibb.co/w6JkMJm/Screen-Shot-2022-08-05-at-2-15-44-PM.png" alt="Screen-Shot-2022-08-05-at-2-15-44-PM">"></div></div>
Flaming Miller trades again i see, <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>delneggs</b></div><div>As a Ranger fan I would love to see the Isles trade a 25 year old Barzal for a 29 year old Miller, but it's not going to happen, Lou isn't that senile.</div></div>
I'm pretty sure that GP is an important stat too. What the actual numbers show is that Millers stats are rising and Barzal's numbers are trending downward. and Barzal will be 26 in this season. Now all that being said No i don't think that NYI would or should let Barzal go even with his 8.5M QO or 10M x 8 and 60pts/yr. He is an exceptional asset and the Isles are better with him and if they were going to make a trade for Miller why would it make sense to get rid of the player that puts you in the window.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Statistically unlikely. You are disgusted by the Hawks tanking but the league rewards teams to do this, and it's the best shot as being competitive down the road. Ottawa, Buffalo have been doing if for years and both their arrows are really pointing up because of it. Leafs as well years ago. Avs as well.</div></div>
No team has tanked better than Edmonton and the year that they weren't going to get it is the year they won Connor in the Loto
