SJ Sign Bertuzzi Roy and then Toffoli Montour to 1 Year 10 Plus Mil Deals
How does this help the Sharks. With that big of a contract even 50% retained isn't going to be easy to flip.

NHL top 10 prospects
Do the leafs have any top 10 prospects in the league???
Missing Nikishin as well as many other prospects.
A few of these guys aren't even prospects anymore like Nemec.

Krug and Stone on LTIR again cause why not
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>myboykole</b></div><div>Vegas gets: Two players back for one, while freeing up cap space and who knows maybe Pietrangelo declinces.
St. Louis gets: Former captain back, free up a roster space and hope Pietrangelo doesn't fall of a cliff.</div></div>
Way I see it Blues are trading 2 players who have already fallen off the cliff for someone who might.

For the Blues Fans - Buchnevich
I would be over the Moon if the Habs offered that, but I know it won't happen. That is a massive package. Ideally the blues turn Buchnevich into something that is high potential top 4 D or Medium portential Top Pair.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Since Krug has only eight teams he can traded too, he certainly isn't going to have a poor team with cap on his trade list
He'll just name eight good teams....who probably don't want him anyway, o4 because they have their cap issues.......Tampa, Florida, Canes, Rangers, Dallas, Detroit, Leafs, Buffalo, and the more.
"Any team" is highly unlikely</div></div>
Its a 15 team list. I would assume he blocks out all of the Canadian teams regardless of their competiveness or contract structure. You're right that it still isn't likely that there is a trade to be had, but it certainly becomes way more possible than it currently is.

BeLeaf
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Krustull</b></div><div>Unless he agrees to sign long term before trade.</div></div>
I think the bigger krux of the issue is that even if Marner signs long term he is slightly overpaid in a position that the Blues are not lacking in. Marner is good, but he doesn't serve a long term need in my eyes. The draft pick and Parayko do however.
I think the Leafs will probably trade him at the deadline for a pretty underwhelming package. Similar to Guentzel. Marner is undoubtedly an Elite player, but his market value is relatively low because he makes the amount of money that should be reserved for Superstar Centerman like Mckinnon and McDavid. If Marner made around the same money that Kucherov makes, his contract would be more valuable. If the Leafs want to 50% retain at deadline they make get a good deal though.

Personally I got Florida at decent odds a month before the playoffs started.
I'm looking at a 5 grand profit if they win the Cup. 😁</div></div>
Rooting for you.
Can I place 80k down that Leafs don't win in the next 20 years?

The Blues are never making that trade with Toronto.
Parayko and Binnington don't have negative value. In fact the only person you listed with Negative value is schenn.
Blues have no interest in Marner. Good Player but we are not paying the dude 11+ and he isn't staying.
Dalibor Dvorsky has no reason to be in this trade.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StDetroitBlueWings</b></div><div>I agree in trading Buch. Get good value while you can.
Then top two lines in the near future are Bolduc, Neighbours, Thomas, Kyrou, Snuggy, and Dvorsky. Buch is a luxury item right now but if trading him nets a good return that speeds up the retool and adds youth, I'm all for it. Unless he signs a reasonable extension around a 6x6.5 then keep him. anything north of 7.5 for 6+ years may be too rich</div></div>
100% agree with everything you said. I think he deserves more than 6.5 to 7.5 but we shouldn't be the team to give him that. It needs to be a team that can make use of him now.

Thats fair. I'm in the camp that we should trade Buchnevich, long term I don't necessairily see need to keep him in our Top 6, unless we eventually push Neighbours down to 3rd line. His value isn't two first anymore unless he commands a lot of attention in the offseason and there is a bidding war.

If thats the case than who does?
We are in the top 1/3 of league in terms of prospect and draft capital and we have good young talent on our team.
I understand if its because you need something at RD, but I feel like we definitely have pieces that could get it done.
For example if I offered you Robert Thomas you should run away with that.

I've never heard this before, and history shows that is definitely not true. Also, Levshunov is Belarusian, which is certainly no less problematic than being Russian. It's just Russian with twist.
I also find it extremely hard to believe Ottawa and especially Buffalo draft LDs.</div></div>
I agree with you, but in fairness Levshunov is already playing in NA, so there is a lot less risk than the traditional russian or Belarussian player.
