this is gonna be fun
I'm a huge fan of both goalies but I do not think that Vasilevskiy is 3m$ better than Gibson. Ducks should pass on that trade if it's 1v1.

Well to be fair with Stammer as his wing he likely could be a calder finalist.
In the Kings team - no. There's no firepower to carry the guy and I don't see him being good enough to carry his whole line as of yet.

Sergach-brannstrom
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Undertaker</b></div><div>The way i see it Is that either sergach or cirelli need to go unless Johny or Yanni waive, and honestly i think id rather keep cirelli, especially because Tampa Is crowded on left side with Hedman and McD.
The idea here Is to get NHL ready right handed D-man on elc, it can be brannstrom, boqvist... you get the idea.
Seems like we disagree on brannstrom whose ceiling Is really high in my opinion.</div></div>
Hi ceiling is not what Ottawa thought when the acquired him, even they admit that and they talk about it on TSN1200. Serg will be the number one when Hedman starts to decline. Remember that their left side is not young, Hedman is 29 and has played a ton, McD is 31 I think and Serg is 22 or 23.
Would not be smart to do this trade

So an amazing and very underrated dman for a prospect who's absolute ceiling will be nowhere close?
Would you do this trade just to get cap space?

TB can’t and won’t move those 2 guys with their cap situation. I was going to go through each trade but it’s a waste of time they are all clearly lopsided in leafs favour. Take your 15 mins to imagine what it would be like if it were possible

8th overall would be worth almost 2 firsts going forward especially compared to this year's draft class where 2-10 separation is minimal. Miller is dirt cheap roster player that they need to replace Shats. Cozens would be tough for Buffalo to give up. I agree it would be Cozens or Mitts. And Tampa gets to dump Paquette's money. They had cheaper options. This will keep Tampa's window wide open

Well this trade literally has Romanov and Caufield in it. 16th OA + Domi would be worth more than Suzuki.

Uh Stammer
I legit think floating Stammers name is just a way of stopping other teams from lowballing them on their other guys. "yes I know I'm up against the the cap but I'm moving Stamkos later so paying you to take Johnson doesn't work for me" or something to that effect. Tampa appearing to have more options allows them to play a little more hardball.

....and the Lightning have more than a couple players that they could sell at a discount (Johnson, Killorn, Palat, Gourde), but Stamkos is not one of them.

Ya sorry bud there is no chance Ottawa gives up Stuzle or Byfeild for what your offering, let alone adding in two more 2nd round picks.
Spezza is a 4th liner get him off the 3rd line.
Leafs won't move Campbell he is better then Stalock imo anyway. It's an overpayment regardless though

Johnson to Montreal supposedly confirmed
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MarkWinnipeg</b></div><div>That was from yesterday they had asked him to waive his NTC, was listening to tsn 1290 this morning couple hrs ago on there updates they'd said after being asked he'd refused to waive his NTC "quote was, that he's happy in tampa and asked for a NTC for a reason." I can't remember what the source was though trying to track it down.</div></div>
Hard to believe. His NTC goes modified next season, i can see him veto a trade to Detroit or Ottawa but whats the alternative there. He can take his pick now of where he wants to go instead of living a year of uncertainty in Tampa then traded somewhere he has no control. Let's see face it, wherever he goes with that contract, he'll be exposed in expansion and the Kraken will take him (look at expansion lists) over someone will Wennberg.. Lebrun speculated the same thing in theathletic today.
Trade only makes sense for the Habs if Domi is traded for something cheap. Johnson has no value. Strictly a cap dump

Do you think so? I used Zucker as a baseline, PIT gave up a 1st, Addison (their top D prospect), and Galchenyuk.
Zucker career .54ppg 5 20 goal seasons 1 30 goal season
Palmieri career .60ppg 5 20 goal seasons 1 30 goal season
Just curious

Pass from Detroit and I’m sure Tampa would pass because TJ isn’t waiving for Ottawa and Killorn will fetch a 2nd +.
