Don't scare me like that. I think it's a combination of two sources. Yes, he has reportedly waived his NMC. Yes, Bergevin and BriseBois have talked to each other yesterday. Nothing says that those news are correlated

According to Dave Etteigudi who is like an agent or something Johnson to Montreal will be announced today or tomorrow this is just what I assume the return would be

Saw on twitter that Columbus has also inquired avout him. Makes a lot of sense they could use a 2C and hes only owed 3.5M this year

Etteigudi didnt specified Johnson in his tweet.... He only said that he expected the canadiens to make an announcement on monday... And theres no way for MTL to be interrested in a SMALL CENTER... We basically have too much of small players and Cs. Plus this contract doesnt look good. TB might have to pay for a team to take it

Adding sergy as a sweetener to take Johnson is more realistic than Johnson for a 3rd straight up? Wow you are more dense than a rock
Thats not at all what he proposed man.... I talked about a trade that could be announced today and this guy said Sergachev... Youre not even reading the comments lol
Was reported by TSN this morning that Johnson refuses to waive his NTC
The Tampa Bay Lightning have talked with forward Tyler Johnson on working on a possible move, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun.
Johnson has a full no-trade clause, so he would have to give the approval to any trade.
Johnson has four years remaining on his contract, which carries a salary cap hit of $5 million per season.
The 30-year-old had 14 goals and 17 assists in 65 games last season.
That’s the tsn article it never said he refused to waive

That was from yesterday they had asked him to waive his NTC, was listening to tsn 1290 this morning couple hrs ago on there updates they'd said after being asked he'd refused to waive his NTC "quote was, that he's happy in tampa and asked for a NTC for a reason." I can't remember what the source was though trying to track it down.

Hard to believe. His NTC goes modified next season, i can see him veto a trade to Detroit or Ottawa but whats the alternative there. He can take his pick now of where he wants to go instead of living a year of uncertainty in Tampa then traded somewhere he has no control. Let's see face it, wherever he goes with that contract, he'll be exposed in expansion and the Kraken will take him (look at expansion lists) over someone will Wennberg.. Lebrun speculated the same thing in theathletic today.
Trade only makes sense for the Habs if Domi is traded for something cheap. Johnson has no value. Strictly a cap dump
