My guess is it’D take more though. Think 1st + Kyrou + Faulk for trocheck.

I had just posted something similar. I’d love to go after Trocheck...

Yeah I was thinking of doing Mikkola instead of Kyrou, but I doubt that's enough. Maybe Perunovich + Gunnarsson.

Interesting. How come? Getting out of Faulk's awful contract for a top 6 forward seems like a good idea. Brendon Dillon would be a fine LHD complement to Petro for the playoffs.

1) Liljegren (blue-chip prospect) could fill the 3rd pair RHD on a strong team and will grow into a top 4 easy.
2) Johnson is 20 goal scorer and a Calder cup MVP player and
3) Bracco has good-upside.
Parayko is the better player today, no doubt.
That being said, If I were GM, I might be willing to add a pick even this year's 2nd at worst.</div></div>
Blues aren’t moving Parayko. Especially not for this.

A backup goalie making too much, a bottom 6 forward, a top prospect, 20-30 overall pick and a second in a few years. That’s too much? Weird.

They're middle of the pack as most of their best players are 25-28 years old. Only key players for them above 30 is Perron.

Eh it really seems like his top talent is a second pairing guy at this point, and he's going to ask for a lot of money. I see him as a great trade candidate for the Blues.

Eddy Out Nurse In
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeastModeUnknown</b></div><div>Carolina pretty much already fixed their Goaltending for now until Nedeljkovic comes up. They say no for sure. I don't like the idea of giving up Schenn+ for Nurse (who isn't as good as Eddy is defensively imo) Now I would want to get rid of Edmundson, but it's got to be something a little more than Nurse who comes back to us in another deal or in the same deal. Brian Elliott is terrible now, I would much rather look to bringing up Ville Husso who had a rough year, but I would look to seeing him be ready for the team. Now Dzingel, I don't see coming to St.Louis I would love to swap Schenn out for Dzingel, but that is why I wouldn't give Schenn for Nurse 1 Nurse isn't worth that, and 2 big risk Dzingel doesn't come to St.Louis, but overall I will give you credit on the idea. It's very creative, and it looks realistic at first sight, but when I get down to what players look at I don't see Dzingel coming to St.Louis.</div></div>
Nurse is better than Edmundson.

I have faith in neither of them. Parayko is a top 25 D man in the league and rising.
Free agents: Tyler Myers? Erik Karlsson? I don't like this plan at all. Especially cause Marner would cost $10+.
I say no way on this, personally.

Don't think the Blues would do that. Leaves the right side of our D very open/weak. Marner is an absolute stud for sure, but gotta keep some backend there (especially with Petro expiring next year).

How much for McDavid
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeastModeUnknown</b></div><div>Top Talent would be in the picks in a couple deep drafts, and you get JT Miller great winger, Palat who is still pretty good, Erne is decent too, Gourde is a beast 60+ Points per season. I would say this could be a great deal to be made.</div></div>
I mean if they aren't getting Point or Serg back in a McDavid trade then it's hilarious. JT Miller is a 2nd liner, Gourde is probably a 2nd liner, Palat is solid. Erne is fine. Top talent is still a 20s 1st rounder? I mean for McDavid that's silly. I wouldn't take that trade for Tarasenko let alone McDavid.

Looking back at the deal
It was a bad trade then, and it looks worse now. Just because you need to move a player, doesn't mean you have to move him for nothing. Imagine if someone like Pietrangelo or Schwartz got disgruntled and hated playing here. Just trading them to trade them wouldn't sit well with anyone. Them leaving isn't a win lol.

Blues would want a legit return for Schenn if they don't re-sign him.

I think you did almost perfect on the contracts, only question I would have is whether Fabbri and Binnington would sign for 2 yrs, seems like they might want the 1-yr prove-it type deal at that money.</div></div>
Yeah my guess is they each get a 1 year. I still would like to go after another top 4 LD. Dunn is there, Eddy is super inconsistent and I'd rather have Bouw be a backup type. That'd take a trade presumably though.

Steen part is true. Lindell is a legit top pairing lefty d man IMO.

I don't think it's much of an overpay. We're giving up a top prospect, a bottom 6 roster player, a 1st and then a busted prospect.c

His points/60, game score and many other aspects of his play show he's a bottom 6 forward right now. We have plenty of better forwards at the moment and if we go for a FA forward, might as well get a top one.
