DeBrusk trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boston14</b></div><div>I can see that for sure. I was wondering this summer when they made the phi trade and got him, if phi got him from Vegas because he was someone Nashville wanted.
I was looking at it from Nashville viewpoint as well, it’s weird not seeing Nashville competing for the cup. After all those years and I could see them being a bit more aggressive this season. Nashville has gotten off to a strong start and things are rolling.
DeBrusk would fit in well with either Duchene or Johansen and create a nice top six for them. When Jake plays his style well, I’m sure Nashville fans will love him. He style would fit with smashville style haha
Not sure what’s going to happen with Forsberg but if they believe they might lose him this summer, I could see them “going in” this year if they don’t give up anything huge. DeBrusk might also help ease the potential pain of losing Forsberg.
Glass is still unknown so I think Nashville might explore the possibility of moving him for a player that’s more known at this point.
Overall I thought it was interesting and had pros/ cons for each.</div></div>
I agree that it's an interesting idea -- I just think NSH will hold on to Glass a little longer; pretty much gave up Ellis for him. I'm hoping Johansen can show him the ropes a bit, but we'll see if he gets another chance this season.
I'm not opposed to DeBrusk in NSH, but at this point in his career I'm not sure I would offer up much more than a 3rd rounder with a C prospect
As far as NSH being buyers, I'd rather they go after someone like Smith who could be a cap casualty with VGK which could lower his cost -- or someone like Tierney.
For the long-term, NSH has Tolvanen, Tomasino, Duchene, Trenin, Jeannot, and Kunin as pretty much locks on the wings next season. If they sign Forsberg and/or then bring up some guys like Afanasyev, L'Heureux, Olivier, Glass, etc to battle for spots, it gets harder to see where DeBrusk would fit on this team.

Playoff Run
There is no scenario where boston trades debrusk to toronto. Especially not for two guys taht wouldn’t crack their lineup.

Ottawa offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canucks406</b></div><div>Maybe. DeBrusk is defintely on the block and Boston needs defensemen at the moment. Zaitsev could be a good 2nd or 3rd pair defense and Forsberg is a good depth goalie. That 2nd round pick might have to be a 3rd or 4th though.</div></div>
Zaitsev and Forsberg are both good... in the AHL.
Bruins need a a top4 LD, not a 5th pair RD.

Next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mm1010</b></div><div>oilers pass there are better wingers they can get for cheaper than a 1st.
either free agency or cap strap team like the bolts
no need to give up a first for debrusk specially since he has never been worth a 1st.</div></div>
His first 3 seasons in the league he averaged 25g and 53pts for 82 games. How many forwards you have under contract outside the 2 studs that do that. Oh ya…none. Going into this year you could not have gotten Debrusk for an offer of a 1st and 3rd. I agree EDM far better off going free agent route than giving up a 1st for Debrusk but saying he’s never been worth a 1st is ridiculous.

Block-Buster trades and signings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>Wagner and Kuraly played regularly, doesn't mean they should just like Lauzon in the top4. That's Cassidy's decision because #55 is defensive-minded and they prefer Grzelcyk/Reilly/Zboril for the offense. He'll probably be a career 6/7 like you said about Clifton. Hope to be wrong but he will need to move the puck better if he wants to be a top4 D.
Also, 5% chance Seattle take Lauzon.</div></div>
What does Wagner and Kuraly have to do with Lauzon? Btw that "defensive minded" dman had 1 more point than Clifton and one less than Zboril. At worst Lauzon is a #6 & PK specialist. Until he broke his hand he didn't look out of place in the top 4.
I'd be shocked if SEA takes Clifton. I still think Boston Exposes Ritchie and that's who SEA takes.

Bruins just casually giving Zboril, DeBrusk and a 5th for nothing. Great

Nuge Leaves
You won't sign Yamamoto to a bridge worth only 300k more than Khaira, smith contract is heavy by 750k. Boston would want more than that to take on the Kassian contract and give up Debrusk.
