Kadri for Dvorak
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BradDillon17</b></div><div>Kadri would be flipped at trade deadline (with or without retention) for likely two 2nds or a 1st. So haul for Arizona would essentially be two 2nds/1st, 3rd, and Bowers for Dvorak
Other places I’ve seen Dvorak get a 2nd a good prospect, think that beats that offer</div></div>
I see you’re thought process. I wonder if they’d consider the same thing. I love the move from an Avs perspective cause it gives them a great 2C with cost certainty for the next 4 years and provides insulation for Newhook just in case.

But wouldn’t underestimate how desperate GMs are to keep their jobs. Could see them looking at another big trade or a high end free agent</div></div>
I can see a big trade, but unless they're overpaying I just don't see them being big players in UFA. Kinda feels like they're Winnipeg South. Hope I'm wrong.

Carrying 8D and trading Panik
8D makes a lot of sense for this club. They have a lot of young defensemen who could use some experience/opportunity. Could see them going with 8D and 3G, even.

Something different
I think Canes would accept this if they are looking for a change in net. Leafs could probably get a 3rd, maybe even a 2nd if Canes don't retain salary. For a 4th, Canes might retain even more like $1.5 mil.

1 hes not a cap dump, hes one of the best 3C's in the game (I wouldnt expect a wings fan to know what a productive NHL bottom 6 forward looks like anyway so its excusable)
2 you're getting paid to take him
3 you'll most likely get a pick as good as or better than that 3rd from another team at the deadline for him

Edit: even better, here's a transcript
"[Guerin] On putting to rest this notion that has gained legs this offseason that there’s some edict from an owner from Wisconsin who wants nothing more than to win a Stanley Cup that the team needs to acquire more Minnesotans:
“Let me be clear, I don’t care where a guy’s from. I couldn’t care less if he’s from Minnesota, Massachusetts, Michigan, California or Moscow. I don’t care. I want the best players that we can get. And if he happens to be from Bloomington, Minnesota, then so be it. And if not, then no problem. I don’t care where a person’s from. … It’s funny how these stories start. I don’t know where they start, but that’s just not the case.”

I don't disagree that it's not fair value, it's just incredibly rich for where Edmonton exists right now.If it was the 2021 1st, I'd be much more interested.

Murray and trading EJ
I appreciate the Murray trade because it is appropriate value while everyone else on here acts like Murray will just be given a way. But the Johnson trade is very interesting to me. People seem to be disagreeing with the value because EJ is definitely a better player than Hjalmarsson now, but the expansion angle makes it a much more valuable trade to Colorado. The risk of losing Girard or Graves (or having to pay Seattle to not take them) plus the fact you're getting a good player in Hjalmarsson makes that trade very worth it to me, and is a pretty nuance take on the types of trades we should expect to see this offseason.

A late 1st to a team that is in need of a quick fix as far as goaltending goes.... he absolutely is.
I'm not certain that applies to the AV's.
Calgary, Edmonton, Carolina.... Now those teams make sense to me.

Ummmm.... UFA status the following year. We can start there.
I'm not gonna any further than that with you though because you clearly have your head up your ass.

Very good proposal for all 3 teams IMO. Nice work.
(except the Canes should give up something extra for getting Andersen).
Mrazek 1.5m retained + 2nd for Andersen
MAF 2m retained for Mrazek + 3rd
seems more fair to Toronto
