<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>westleysnipez</b></div><div>You've gotta be ****ting me. You <em>hope</em> Lysell becomes a 60-point forward. When Batherson was 20, he was already in the NHL. There is no question Batherson >>> Lysell, especially with the contract factored in.
Frederic for a 3rd is easily worth the difference of Batherson to Lysell. Bruins could pick up another 3rd line centre from another team for the same price.</div></div>
Actually, Batherson did play when he was 20yo but he wasn't a regular for his first two seasons (2018-19 and 2019-20). Lysell could just as well play in the NHL over the next two seasons, even as a regular. Frederic for a 3rd isn't a good trade either considering some players with similar profiles bought back much more.

I'm kinda partial to
Leo Carlsson (C)
Pavel Mintyukov (LhD)
Jackson LaCombe (LhD)
Lukas Dostal (G)
Tristan Luneau (RhD)
Olen Zellweger (LhD)
Nathan Gaucher (C)
Sasha Pastujov (LW)
Edmonton's and Pittsburgh's cupboards are bare.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kyle_Okposo_Lover</b></div><div>Coyle undoubtedly not getting that. id be shocked if he has positive value</div></div>
Since the '21-'22 season Coyle among centers ranks:
Goals - 76th
Assist - 62nd
Points - 66th
FO% - 61st
He's basically an low end 2C and a elite #3C that plays a two-way game and all situations. He's currently the 51st highest paid center in the NHL, so slightly overpaid relative to his rankings, He has positive value.

Fixing this disaster
With Boston playing well, you expect them to blow up the right side of their D by trading a core piece for a guy over 30 AND throw in more assets? This is not about "which player is better now", this is about team identity, team building strategy, and maintaining a steady ship. Boston is no longer desperate for C help.

Leafs don’t even consider that and I hope Boston never gives up anymore assets for Bertuzzi. Free agency maybe. Even then, I hope not.

Minnesota’s young goalie situation is probably on par with Boston. I realize you are using a placeholder team , but don’t use Minnesota.
I’m absolutely OK with going the goalie rotation until Ullmark’s contract runs out and he gets paid elsewhere. Our goalie situation is our strength. No need to change it. Embrace it

Boston really doesn’t need Krug and Coyle has been labeled overpaid for so long that people don’t pay attention to what he means towards winning hockey,

I hope you never accept that logic when negotiating a contract at work. You see we're just spreading your pay out for longer, not paying you less.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>leafs101</b></div><div>nope, he's stated on the record numerous times he loves it here and wants to stay. Couldn't possibly see him getting more than 10.5m on the open market, but they can only give 7 years. Leafs giving him just 9.25m by 8 years would surpass the total compensation on a 10.5m by 7 year deal. Not to mention the fact that Toronto can and regularly does pay the vast majority of the cash up front on signing bonus which is massive and something that very few teams can/will do.</div></div>
It would be done if it were that easy. I have no doubt that he loves it in Toronto, but he’s going to be paid more than Marner

The Flames should just re-sign Hanifin at a 6 million ish cap hit long term. Hanifin is only 26 and could be extended for 8 years as opposed to having Girard until he's 28 and then having to renegotiate.

I see no reason to trade for another defenseman. We need to redistribute more money to the offense. I like Hanifan, but I’d rather go with Lohrei and see what he can do.
