Not a different animal at all. JP was a 4th overall pick with very similar attributes and expectations. Are they apples to apples? No, but they have far more in common than not.

But A+ prospects or ready made youngins with big potential don't get thrown around for fill ins. Kakko improves every line he plays with, stats schmats really. He needs to grow some and get involved, then he'll get noticed. Laf was bad last year also, same thing.</div></div>
Dude, I'm really not trying to talk trash here, but Kakko is no longer an A+ prospect. I mean, he's not a prospect anymore.

You literally say nothing of weight. You just spout stuff off without any real substance behind it. Clearly you don't know anything about Puljujarvi. There are many parallels with him and Kakko.

Agreed and Puljujarvi is a very good example. Even when looking at his season-by-season stats he also has a recent blip of 36 points in 65 games, but could never really put it all together.

Trade Deadline
I like that Lundestrom/Boqvist trade. CBJ might have a similar center problem, though, so he might get pushed to 4C,/3W anyway. Fantilli, Jenner, Sillinger, and Voronkov are all here long-term, and Kuraly/LDBB probably fill the 4C role for another year and going forward. Would be nice to have a defensive responsible winger on the 3rd line though, who's young, and who can replace Roslovic when he's inevitably gone.

Nylander Trade
We're not trading two key pieces of our future for one season of William Nylander. If he's interested in playing for us, we can talk to him in 2024, when we don't have to spend any asset, let alone two prime ones, to acquire him.

The Ducks laugh you off the phone :tearsofjoy neither of those players are available let alone both, the last place team in the league doesnt make short-sighted win now moves like this when they are clearly rebuilding.
You need to actually take 5 seconds and think about both teams needs, not just whatever makes your favourite team look good on an ACGM

I disagree. I have a feeling we’re in a bidding battle with New York right now. DeBrincat makes a lot of sense for the time line and the Ducks top 6 would be extremely upgraded.
