If you actually believe that Crosby doesn’t want to win and he brought in Jack Johnson himself because he wanted to lose (Jack Johnson won a cup the year after he left Pittsburgh btw) then you’re ****ing ****

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>You are sadly mistaken.
He's not leaving and jumping ship. This is a team that took on Jack Johnson for him. Costing them games. He knew that, he didn't care it was more about helping his friend. Hell they are still paying it off. If you think he's going to just bail on them to "chase a cup" when he's got 3 already you are kidding yourself. If he was so consumed with winning a cup, he wouldn't have been pushing to bring Jack Johnson in.</div></div>
You are really dumb if you believe what you just said

That’s not true. POJ is a fine player on any team as a 5-7 D. will never light it up offensively but skates well and makes the plays he needs to. Penguins have too many players like him though and need a different look there which is why the like Ludvig.

If we could then do it obviously…and maybe, but I also think MTL wants to win soon and they need some good veteran players. They need Smith more than they need Savard with all the D they have coming up.

These trades do both.
15 hard minutes and PK time is invaluable. Especially in playoffs.

Do not want Duclair. I will never forget his time in CBJ, and Torts, who is usually the most square up guy with his guys at practice, just going hells balls on him at center ice in practice. He called him out for his BS and then he was gone shortly after. He's like dealing with center ice drifter goal poacher hero syndrome Erod on steroids. No thanks.</div></div>
Guy can score. Team needs scoring. He’s cheap.

Not sure Pittsburgh is in a position to be adding $3.5M behind Letang and Karlsson.
They should consider Kovacevic instead.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>yes because the guy who's been nothing but a class act for the organization is just going to up and leave without giving the organization a heads up to his plans.
He's a penguin for life. He made that decision a long time ago. He will retire there and the team will sign him for as long as he's willing to play.</div></div>
His contract is up, obviously he is going to speak to them about it in advance. The team will want it to, as they won’t win with that core. Sid will still retire a Pen and will always be remembered as a Pen. They won’t make him suffer his final years there. Him leaving has nothing to do with his class. He has done everything and more for that city in franchise and after next year the time will come for the team to let him go chase another cup elsewhere.

This team has no business moving picks at this point.
They already might end up with a top 10 pick this year, meaning next years 1st pick is possibly leveraged.
It goes without saying even the 2nd and 3rd round picks gonna have a decent amount of value.
They just aren't a good enough team to keep risking assets. They need a more conservative approach. Playing youth, pick up here and there in FA.
There isn't much this team can do to be a cup contender, they just aren't one.</div></div>
Not true at all…
All in and rebuild after next year when Sid leaves.

Yeah we don’t really know what long term is quite yet so that depends. Sometimes it means a couple weeks sometimes it means a couple months.
Your Pens decline. Mine don’t. In reality? I’d say it’s closer to a yes than a no.

I’m not sure how you can say Kuz>Smith? Smith is a better 200 ft hockey player. Kuz is, at this point, a slightly better scorer. It’s about fit on each team as well.
