Duhaime will be re-signed probably a 1.1mil at 2-3 years.
I still think Addison is going to get traded but if he is re-signed its going to be something like a one year deal maybe 975K - 1.2 mil.
Steel he might get re-signed but it will be for a mil or less.
Goose is probably gone too and then they would sign a cheap veteran Dman for under a mil.

Right wing is the most starved position in our organization. Not that Laf is that, but run the depth chart one time for me and tell me how RW/RD are not more starved than C. Even at the NHL level we have a 2C, 3C and 4C that are pretty good and decent term. 1C is and has been the problem, but that shouldn’t stop us from looking at long term replacements for guys like Zuccarello and Johansson. I wouldn’t do Rossi+1st for Laf. I would consider Rossi+ though.
I have Khusnutdinov with a better chance of being a 1C than Rossi.

CUP BOUND
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoolHandL</b></div><div>Welcome to the forums!
As far as your ACGM here, Wallstedt will not be in a Wild sweater next year unless there is an emergency situation - count on it. He needs time to bake in the AHL, and subsequently Fleury is likely not being traded. Middleton is not being traded. I think Gus will get done at more like 3 years, 3.5M'ish AAV. Addison will probably get a QO in the 1 to 1.5M AAV range for 1 or 2 years. The Goose trade probably happens, but it will be a 'future considerations' type of swap - he is not worth a 3rd. I don't think they re-sign Sundqvist. Lambos will not see the NHL for another couple years.
Still gotta fill out your roster with two more, as well. I personally would like to see them re-sign Reavo, especially in the likely absence of Dumba - I just hope the Wild don't pay him quite that much.</div></div>
Guessing Reaves gets league minimum, but probably a 2 year deal. Guerin seems to like him and it sounds like he wants term so that kinda deal works for both sides.
Agree on Lambos not skipping the AHL on his way to the NHL. If anyone in their defense prospect pool makes the NHL team it would be Hunt or O'Rourke since they spent last year in Iowa. Doubt either makes it though, defensemen normally take longer to develop and if they trade Addison (which I think they will) they can just plug that hole with a cheap veteran for a year.

Any Spurgeon trade to EDM would probably have to be dollar-in-dollar-out where the dollars leaving EDM are cap dumps and MNs compensation comes in the form of futures. EDM is in total win now mode - they're not removing key pieces like Ekholm.
It'd prob have to be some combo of Ceci, Foegele, Yams and picks for balance....idk it's hard to see a fit due to both teams' cap situations, but that's prolly the best shot at finding something mutual.

I don’t think it makes any sense for Edmonton to move Ekholm. They gave up a lot to get him and he got in perfectly. He’s the ideal fit for the 2nd pair spot with Bouchard.
Calgary likely goes for better quality if they trade Lindholm - they’re bound to get a ton of offers if he’s available

I don't think MIN does this They have JEE signed for term on a pretty good cap hit deal, and he'll develop into a pretty good 1/2 2 way center.
As I've said before, I really don't want to see Willie moved as well.

The leafs would have to retain salary for that to work with the Wild, they dont have the room for big moves like that, but if we wanted the Leafs to retain I wouldn’t mind giving up a little more

The whole cocaine thing isn't a deal breaker for me personally, but I can't see BG bringing in a fellow Russian to play with Kaprizov that would potentially expose him to the habit.

another Lindholm idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mjoyce001</b></div><div>This doesn't fit Minnesota's cap. Fiala was traded partially because it was reported Minnesota was saving money to offer kaprizov the moon. Plus how does Minnesota put together a semblance of team this two two years? They can't</div></div>
Yeah unfortunately MN just can't afford to make any big moves. It seems the earliest we'd be able to do anything really significant would be TDL in the 24-25 season and that's assuming you've accumulated cap like they did this year and are in a position where it makes sense. With the buyouts dropping off that summer, you'd have the flexibility to re-sign any big acquisition.
But more than likely nothing major happens and we start ramping up at the 2025 draft.

Starts with Boldy, multiple 1sts, retention alone costs X....even just a little bit of actual suggestion or direction can go along way, especially for someone that's stating they're new to the sport, new to CF and has never posted before.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoolHandL</b></div><div>Very unfortunate he had that complication, hopefully staying in MN for the summer for training gets him back on pace.</div></div>
It won’t hurt, if nothing else it endears him to the coaches and staff. But if you think about the physiology of what happened to him, he basically lost 2 years of development. The first was a decline due to the disease, the second was rebuilding to where he was when he got sick. That’s where he’s at now and we can see some progression, judge him from here forward.
It undoubtedly lowers his ceiling, but he’s so smart and skilled there’s absolutely a top 6 guy there.
