Seen this Tweet and in the replies they seem to question why so many people want him gone so I wonder if there's a move to be made.

Think this would be better then any kind of Zegras trade, but he'd cost more imo

Yes Im sure the value is way off but like I said idk where you'd even start for this type of player (Assuming MTL has no interest in moving the top 7 pick)

Tell me what you'd want and lets see

If he was available, Montreal would absolutely trade their 1st for him unless it was top 2

he doesn'T fit MTL, he is talented and good offensively but does nothing defensively, which doesn't fit what MTL wants in their players.

Price will be too steep for what he can bring imo

I think with what MSL has done with Caufield as a complete player could translate to boldy aswell

i think outside top 5 its possible, Im hoping they will have the chance at Demidov or Catton or else I'd move the pick for Boldy

What would it take for the Wild to trade for Caufield?

MN declines. No incentive or reason to trade Boldy. Locked up long term at a good number, plays a 200 ft game and scores.

There isn't gonna be a market that works for both teams. MTL wouldn't pay what it would cost.

The f*** are you on about?

Boldy is a very solid defensive player who plays a full 200ft game. Your comment is completely off-base.

Minnesota DOES NOT consider this, as it pales in comparison to what we'd ask for him.

Furthermore, they have absolutely ZERO desire to move him. That tweet is merely some idiot blowing smoke out their ass.

he is not a 200ft player.... at least be partial. Talented players who I would take ina heartbeat but he isn't good on 200 ft

Well boldy is a +3 defensively according to the athletic….. so I’m curious where you got the impression he does nothing defensively.

Yes, he is. I AM being partial.

Don't make me have to dig out the stats to prove it. I *really* Don't have the time in the day to hunt that stuff down.

But suffice it to say, his defense blows Caufield's to shame. As an example.

Id send 3 1sts (WPG, CGY and 2025 MTL) with a LHD they want out of Xhekaj,Struble,Harris, Engstrom and a forward like Newhook

Boldy + Demidov/Lindstrom essentially ends the rebuild. Any other pieces can be traded for or signed in FA

The value equivalent of 5 1st rounders isnt enticing. Buddy you are gonna be disappointed if he gets traded

No it’s not lol. Those prospects are not enticing and neither are the three late 1st round picks. You want Boldy, start by putting Reinbacher in play. Otherwise don’t bother.

Lets simplify it for you. When you trade a 9, you dont get a 9 back, you get a 6 and a 3, or a 5 and a 4. Great GMs will get you a 7 and a 3, etc. Reinbacher is 9 to the Habs

Bull.

That's the current 11th ova (CAL), 23rd ova (WPG), and a future 1st in a much weaker draft. So a mid-level 1st. A late 1st. And a 1st that only matters if it's a top 5 pick next year, or it holds no interest, given how top heavy next years draft is.

Furthermore... none of Xhekaj, Struble, Harris, or Engstrom are remotely worth a 1st round pick. Don't make me laugh.

He might not get the *equivalent* of a better offer. But it's going to take a better offer than that to get it done. More quality, less quantity.

He's UNTOUCHABLE. Even if he were available, Minnesota isn't rebuilding, it starts with Montreal's 1st THIS year plus another high-end piece like Dach or Huston. If you insist on sending a lower 1st that isn't in the top 5, that prospect is going to be Slafkovsky.

Screw Reinbacher, it costs them one of Slafkovsky or Huston.

This is such a ridiculously stupid way of looking at this. Minnesota has Boldy locked in for 6 more seasons after this. They get to dictate the terms of trading their player. If you don’t like it, happily **** off.

It’s not even this year’s pick for Calgary.

umm...wut?

Also, see this post comparing Boldy vs. Caufield to hopefully give you a better idea as to just how good Boldy is and why he's untouchable.
