Bert & Tatar, yeah. Mantha, no thanks! I was happy to be done with his laziness when we traded him, lol.

It might have something to do with the 34 y.o defending much better this year. That 34 y.o is shutting down 1st lines on a nightly basis. Meanwhile, Liljegren only has 2 years of team control after this one, and hasn't shown he's more than a 4/5 at this point.
I think you'll get a good look tonight, assuming I didn't just jinx Tanev.

I don't agree that Podkolzin is better than Monahan. He isn't, and isn't trending like he's going to be. That said, i hate giving up futures for a rental. Kovacevic could play on our 3rd pairing, and is on a decent contract. Might be worth a 3rd or 4th.

Why would Detroit move one rental for another rental? Just throw a 4th the Wings’ way and call it a day.

VGK v BOS SCF lineup predictions
Brisson for a 50% retained Monahan and lower pick would be a better deal for both teams IMO.
Vegas doesnt need a big minutes puck moving Dman with Theodore and Pietrangelo.

"Unallied" in the sense that Montreal isn't one of the five teams involved in these trades, so he's relatively disinterested and putatively neutral.

Lafrenier was also 1OA but Zegras is more valuable than him, too.
So again, it's Slaf + if you want Z.</div></div>
You mentioned and rightly so about a player position of play in draft .
LWers are the most numerous of players, as 65% of players shoot left.
If players are rated about equal, I would tend to think drafted centres or RHD might be long term better than a LHD or especaily a LWer.
In ten years we will be able to judge who would have been the best player that Montreal should have drafted in the # 1 spot in 22. Slaf, or RHD Nemec (picked second) or the two centre, Cooley and Wright.

Sorry wasn't trying to come off as saying you had to change the criteria, it is your post and you did make the rules. I was just trying to state my opinion on how I would define a prospect for discussion purposes. I know I probably came off as abrasive, that wasn't my intention at all. I still say though that Hutson and Guhle should be reversed based on potential. Guhle has top pairing 40-50 point, all situation potential, whereas Hutson has 50+ point potential but will not likely face the oppositions best players and won't likely ever play the pk.

Cup 24
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DustinBrown1989</b></div><div>I know he wasn’t the best defensive defender last year that was Brodie</div></div>
Over the last 3 years, like how McDavid is the best player in the world over the last 5 years despite not winning the Hart every year.
Over the last 3 years at 5v5 Tanev ranks:
2nd in CA/60 (behind teammate Weegar)
1st in SA/60
7th in GA/60
1st in xGA/60
1st in SCA/60
1st in HD CA/60
14th in HD GA/60
Then he also ranked in Defensive WAR over the last 3 years
1st in 20/21
2nd in 21/22
3rd in 22/23
He's the only defenseman to finish top 5 in Defensive WAR all 3 years and 1 of 4 to do it in 2/3 years (Brodie, Weegar, and Carlo being the other 3)

As far as the Sabres trade goes, i just don’t see it happening
Bc if the “young guns & Comrie don’t work out” then Allen isn’t gonna be enough to save our season
We’d either have to “go big” with a legit stud like Hellebuyck,
or just let the season play out with the kids getting more experience
Either way, i just don’t see Allen here in Buffalo
Just doesn’t make sense for us

Lol, the Pens wouldn’t spend a first to dump a guy who’d cost $833k to buyout. $1.83M in four years won’t hurt, either.
