I’ve seen hoglander play and I love his play style but being 5’9 is always gonna come with physical disadvantages.
Even Marchand and Marty St. Louis got pushed around by big physical dmen.

A concussion is a concussion and byram has 3 of them and is 5 years young then Carlo where do you think his future is headed.

You already know that, otherwise you wouldn't be trading a bunch of mid players for him.</div></div>
I’d rather not do this trade, this is just a copy with some adjustments from another users post earlier.
I’ll take my odds of Draisaitl reaching UFA and bruins having more then enough cap to bring him in

I’d be fine without lindholm signing and trying to tank, we have our 1st and we need a better prospect pool. None of these moves were made to make the roster better. I made these to push towards a retool. This year was a great year but bruins really need to consider a retool for a season or 2 and make a push after.

Okay maybe I was off a bit but Byrams’s concussions have took him out for significantly more time and Adams had no problem shipping off there best point producer who wanted to resign for him.

Carlo Ullmark option 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Schuyler</b></div><div>can't see buffalo doing that JJP is gonna be really good and Carlo is one concussion away from being done</div></div>
Oh give me a break, Carlo has played 3 seasons without significant injury, maybe some minor bumps and bruises that took him out a few games but he’s played over 75 games the last 3 seasons.
He’s only ever had 2 concussions while playing for Boston.
Bergeron had more concussions then Carlo and had one that took him out for a full season very early in his career and still became an NHL hall off famer and arguably the best defensive forward of all time.
The whole knock and Carlo being injury prone is BS,
He has only had 1 season where he hasn’t played 72+ games because of injury, the other season where he played 67 was because of the Covid season and bruins only played 70 games

Marchand cutting his salary in almost half would be a helluva thing to witness, I think he takes a discount, that discount being below 5 million isn't something I would bet on.
But I think they could fit him, would be a squeeze though</div></div>
Marchand will be 38 when his contract is up, you can see his game is already starting to slow down I expect regression in each other next few seasons. Again Pavelski is a perfect example of a vet who wants to win, so if a guy who had spent 4 seasons with a team is willing to take a big pay cut I’m sure a guy who has spent what will be 17 seasons at the time will take one aswell, he’s literally their captain

Well bruins will have even more cap in 25/26
Drai gets something like 7-8 yrs 12-13 mill
Marchand is the captain he will do something like Bergeron did and take a team friendly discount, he will want to attempt to win another cup I honestly will bet anyone he takes less then what Pavelski has for Dallas.

Would this work for Marner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RipNasty</b></div><div>It's a weak draft and TO is win now. You know this but everyone wants Marner for a bargain.</div></div>
Cayden Lindstrom most likely falls to 5.
He’s a big power forward thag would give you the grit you need probably plays 1 more year of junior but he’d be a stud 2C with nylander or even on matthews LW.
Moving Marner and spreading the wealth on depth is how you will win.
Lots of solid UFA dmen Toronto could target with that money and matheson takes a lot of pressure off Reilly to produce points from the defence

Draisaitl trade for fun - Boston POV
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Connor_McJesus_97</b></div><div>Bruins are underpaying on Drai here so either they take the cap dump or there would never be a deal</div></div>
Pass then.
You are getting a top 4 dman that is great defensively and will cover for nurses low IQ, a 2nd line Center that is 2 way responsible, a starting goalie that won the vezina last season and a forward prospect who could probably easily slot in next to hyman and mcdavid just because of his speed and play making abilities.
Boston gets drai which yes is huge but will also cost us 13 mill after 1 season, a cap dump in ceci which i barely would want him on our 3rd pair as it is and broberg a defenceman who lights up the AHL but can’t do nothing in the NHL. Oh and we sacrifice depth

5OA
A top 4 dman
And a overpaid 3rd liner but will still score you 15 goals
Doesn’t seem that bad to me.
5OA could get you a key player for Toronto’s future, that will be on an ELC and allow you to spread your cap

All I can say is bruins will not be taking back 2 cap dumps. Sure to ceci he can fill a bottom pair role for 1 season but you can kick rocks on campbell and find someone else to take him or buy him out yourself.
Broberg/ Ceci/ Drai you got a deal doubt Boston retains on anyone outside of Ullmark aswell

Nurse isn’t worth 9.25 mill he’s a 7 mill dman.
If Utah is trying to win they are gonna want to use their cap wisely and distribute it evenly. Give a low IQ dman 9.25 mill is not smart.
Nurse has the physical intangibles to be a very good dman but his decision making is so so bad
