So I see Nylander for Pesce bs again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>Based on what? Playing in Toronto?</div></div>
Nylander is more versatille player (can play center extremely well), they are about the same when it comes to being defensively effective, Nylander is more productive than Teuvo throughout his career.
20yo season:
Teuvo - 9 pts in 34 games / 0.26 p/g
Nylander - 61 pts in 81 games / 0.75 p/g
21yo season:
Teuvo - 35pts in 78 games / 0.45 p/g
Nylander - 61 pts in 82 games / 0.74 p/g
22yo season:
Teuvo - 42 pts in 81 games / 0.52 p/g
Nylander - 27 pts in 54 games / 0.5 p/g
23yo season:
Teuvo - 64 pts in 82 games / 0.78 p/g
Nylander - 59 pts in 68 games / 0.87 p/g
production wise Nylander is better and is more versatille than Teuvo.

tavares trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DomCholette</b></div><div>Sorry, I will be clear just to make sure you understand...
As a MTL fan... I wouldn't trade for Tavares in helping Toronto Cap hell they are IN.
I would spend more bluechips on a guy like Eichel to make sure I compete against Toronto for many more years</div></div>
The Leafs are not in cap hell, Tampa is in cap hell, the Islanders very soon will be in cap hell. Edmonton is in cap hell. Teams that have multiple bad contracts that you just can't move are in cap hell. TO is against the cap sure, but they also have no bad contracts and crazy depth up front. Their defence is underrated and their window is open for years to come. The Leafs won't trade Tavares, he's awesome and he is exactly what Montreal has needed for over a decade. A franchise centre. That is exactly what Montreal has needed for year, a franchise centre and yet you say this nonsense. Let's just be reasonable an honest with ourselves.

tavares trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dooobas</b></div><div>You're crazy. Tavares is still elite. He put up 60 points in 63 games this year and it was an off year for him. He still has at least 3 strong years left in him.</div></div>
I am not saying that he's not... it help playing with Marner!
But still 7 years at 10M @ 30yo... I wouldn't give my future as in 3 years... he will be part of the problem in MTL with Weber & Price country club

Toronto Blockbuster
I'm a DAL fan, but TOR will never accept this.
Cogliano's trade value is nonexistent. No one is taking that contract, unfortunately.

Playoffs
What became apparent to me towards the shutdown is defensively, TO was actually really good. However where they kept getting hurt was from self inflicted wounds. Their game is possession and puck movement and sometimes they held the puck too long or tried to be too fancy in the offensive zone and that led to high danger chances the other way. When they were back and defending they did an excellent job protecting the front of the net. I think the team just needed more time to learn when to keep the puck and when to just dump it deep and regroup. It had looked like they were getting better toward the shutdown and if they can continue with that trajectory, I think they'll be able to silence these trolls who say the Leafs have the worst defence in hockey. They definitely are far better than a lot of teams.

Kind of funny you use the word facts, when there is actual proof to show your wrong. If players didn't want some say on their future they wouldn't bother with trade/movement clauses.

if your dying to get Kapanen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stan_Bowman</b></div><div>Yeah, except you take away our only defensive RHD and a potential top 6 winger for a max potential middle six winger. Chicago is not in a position where they need Kap to compete for a cup, In theory, Toronto needs Murphy on their right side much more than we need Kapanen in our top 9.</div></div>
i love this stuff. Your guy who is a potential top 6 winger and Kapanen is a max potential middle 6 winger. What a wonderful use of language. I mean, it's not like Kapanen is already a very good 3rd line winger at the floor and has shown that he can easily be a 2nd line winger for significant stretches and Alex has shown that he may one day be a 3rd line winger!

3 way with NJ TOR

if Kapenan is a want in NJ we need to figure out a way to do a severson for Kapenan trade with picks and stuff. Leafs get the RHD they have been looking for and NJ gets a good wing.
